In May 2020, the Edenville dam on Wixom lake failed, draining the lake and turning it back into the river it was 95 years ago. Our cozy cottage now sits on hundreds of acres of ancient trees and emerging forest on a dry lake bottom with a picturesque river running through it. You & your family/friends will love your stay in this cozy upgraded cottage with an enormous deck & sunset views like no other.

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. The cottage sits at the highest point on the river, with a deck & fire pit overlooking the river providing a breath taking view from sunrise to sunset! Theres a cozy loft for sleeping, and a sun room where you can relax and read all day long. 1/2mile away you have access to 100s of miles of trails for hiking and ATVs. Within a 45 minute drive you have Houghton Lake, smaller lakes, splash pads and casinos, something for the whole family.

Cottage sits on top of a hill. About 15 steps from the water. Beautiful view of lake from back porch, kitchen area, and the main bedroom. Outdoor amenities to utilize including outdoor seating, grassy yard for any outdoor activities, a fire pit, a large sandbox, swimming of course, cemented basketball area with a hoop and basketballs, a dock for fishing or if you chose to bring up your own watercraft you can anchor it on the dock. The yard is shared with another rental cottage on the property.

This newly renovated waterfront cottage has 150 feet of frontage where bald eagles are often seen flying overhead. Relax on the wrap-around deck or the waterfront swing and enjoy the view of the river in all seasons. Croton provides great fishing all year round with lots of great snowmobile trails in the area. The cottage is fully furnished with wood floors, laundry room, well-appointed kitchen, and deck furniture/umbrella. Added bonus! 5 kayaks and 5 bikes are also available!

This cozy, fresh cabin has Higgins Lake views, very close road-end beach/water access and is just a quick walk to Sam-O-Set Park & Beach and Good Times Party Store! The extra large lot has plenty of space for your boat trailer. Enjoy your breakfast looking at the lake! Take a few steps down to the road end beach and spend your day sunbathing and wading WAY out in the shallow, clear water. Launch your kayak here if you would like!
