The Magical Cabin on Back Creek

Magic is the word most people use when they visit this hidden gem. Built in 1939 as a fishing cabin by a gentleman who incorporated box cars as rafters and beams, dates still visible since removing the attic. By far the best place I've ever lived. I decided to share it with others who love to explore, who love listening to the voice of the creek or who come just to sit on the porch high above the creek with a spouse, friend, family, or alone. A few miles off Prices Fork keeps you close to gas and groceries yet between the 2 largest universities in SW VA. We also own and operate a local tree business which presides on the property.

Up A Creek on Claytor Lake

Enjoy looking at the lake from almost every room in the house. Wake up in one of 3 private bedrooms or the sunroom (daybed and trundle bed) looking at the water. Have coffee on the porch while the sun rises, walk straight into the lake from the boat landing, enjoy relaxing on the patio, lay out in the sun, jump off the private dock, build a sandcastle on the beach, and then finish your day with a bonfire in the fire pit while still looking at the lake with the moon shining down.
