The Trailhead Guest Cottage

Our peaceful oceanfront guest cottage is situated at the head of the 9.5 km Pollett's Cove hiking trail.  We recommend a two night stay - first night, settle in with a beverage, evening sunset and star gazing.  Wake to coffee and farm fresh breakfast delivered to your door step (except in August when we are on vacation), before hitting the trail to Pollett's Cove, the Skyline or any of the 30 other nearby national park trails. Have a swim, and return to a hot outdoor shower. Repeat!

Our quaint and cozy studio guesthouse is ideally located just minutes from Chimney Corner Beach and the world-famous Cabot Trail. We are just 20 minutes from Inverness and 30 minutes from Chéticamp, making it a convenient place to stay while exploring Cape Breton. It's a cozy, rustic space with a composting toilet, solar shower, woodstove heat, and lots of charm — best suited to guests looking for a simple, countryside stay.
