Hungry Mother Island is a unique three bedroom cabin on its own island surrounded by Hungry Mother Creek at Hungry Mother State Park in Marion, VA. Located off the Back of the Dragon Trail & bordered by Hungry Mother State Park along with George Washington & Jefferson National Forest. Nearby multiple wilderness areas, superb mountain stream fishing, small lake fishing, swimming area & beach, wildlife management areas & miles of trails offer tons of natural amenities and outdoor opportunities.

Hideaway Log Cabin

Unique place has a style all its own. It is private, one year old now and hand worked by owner. NO PETS. Small 350+ sq feet. Open floorplan, no separate bedroom. Large front porch with wooden rockers. Kitchen is very small, with most everything except for oven. Has two small ponds with fish in them loaner poles and tackle in closet no license required. It's in the woods there is wildlife, stream and old growth trees to view. Park style charcoal grill in the yard. Hammock, picnic area at ponds.

We have been renovating an old 1950's dairy barn since 2013. We fell in love with this location because the barn is set in a beautiful valley in the Appalachian Mountains. You have to drive through the creek to get to the barn. We built this private bungalow on the creekside of the barn with its private entrance. Beautiful meadows, forest, springs, creek and pond. Pet friendly. We love doggy visitors! Hike over the farm, anf large fenced meadows. Enjoy the fire pit. Have a really large group? Add Sunrise Cottage and Meadows, also on the farm. Or Middleside Farmhouse, likewise on the farm.

Nestled in a high mountain meadow just above the New River, this 750 square foot cabin has plenty of amenities and nearly 20 acres for your own private Idaho...there are marked and cleared hiking trails...look for the entrance post to the left "1285."
