LAKE AND MOUNTAIN...B&B AL POZZO

Our B&B “Al Pozzo” is part of an old farmhouse restored and refurbished. It is situated right on the path leading to the “Basilica di S. Pietro Al Monte” (http:/www.amicidisanpietro.it), a monument considered to be a jewel of Romanesque art (X-XI century). And further on along the path are our wonderful montains with its Monte Cornizzolo, a peak famous for paragliding (www.cornizzolo.com). Is is a very short distance from the cliffs, where climbing enthusiasts will enjoy various levels of difficulties in this adventurous sport. There are easy links to che cities of Milan, Como, Bergamo, to the picturesque towns of Bellagio, Varenna, Menaggio and to Switzerland. And just 4 Km from “Al Pozzo” you can visit the beautiful historical city of Lecco, on Lake Como, with its amazing views famously described in the novel “The Betrothed” by A. Manzoni. A bit about us: we are a family made up of a young couple, Barbara and Beppe, and two children, Ale and Franci, lovers of mountains and nature. We grow our own organic vegetables, we have two dogs and even a stable with twenty odd goats which help us produce a high-quality homemade cheese! You will be able to taste it at breakfast or it you choose to dine comfortably at our typical restaurant part of the farmhouse structure- We are looking forward to your visit!

The Walnut Tree B & B is located in Zana, a hamlet in the upper part of Abbadia Lariana on the eastern shore of Lake Como. We are one hour away from Milan, 2 and a half km away from Mandello del Lago and 3 km away from Abbadia Lariana. If you arrive by train, we can pick you up by car from the train station of Mandello or Abbadia Lariana. The part of the house given over to the B&B has been sensitively restored and has the character of an old country house, complete with a balcony with views over the lake. The two rooms have private bathrooms. In summer you can have your breakfast served on the terrace in the garden. A few kilometers away is the town of Varenna, where boats depart for the lake. The whole area is known for the famous mountain "Grigna", a wonderful place for walking and climbing. If you enjoy motorcycles, be sure to visit the museum of Guzzi motorcycle. Abbadia is the perfect place to swim: there are no private homes that overlook the beautiful beach. Each room leeds to a balcony ending in a rounded terrace built on a huge erratic rock which gives the name to the B&B. From there you can enjoy a beautiful sight of lake Como, its beautiful mountains, the ruins of an ancient castle and its village. At any time you can sip a drink in the terrace listening to the sweet sound of the stream flowing a few metres aside. In the evening the fresh breeze coming down from the valley makes your relaxing moments fantastic, after your baths in the lake, your trekking, your boat trips in the wonderful sites all around Nesso. B&B “Masso Grasso” is in the ancient center of Nesso, a village half way between Como and Bellagio. The “Masso Grasso” is the ideal place for those looking for a quiet place surrounded by nature and beauty. The house is in the ancient part of the village. Its charme is intact. The room is located in the historical centre of the village in a secluded and silent courtyard and suits couples, private retreats and families...It can be an ideal starting point for day trips on foot, relax and cultural tours on the shores of Lake Como as it is situated within distance from Como (15 km) and Bellagio (20 km). The village is located 600 meters above sea level. The lake can be reached by car in 10 minutes. Parking is outside the village, a 5-minute walk away.The route is uphill.

The B&B Casa Gentile has the rare advantage of being a 5-minute walk from the old town and the lakeside and have a large garden with solarium and a shaded area with lime and a big beech, parking and a garage with remote control. Located on the ground floor of a building from the late 1800 's, has 3 bedrooms, two doubles and a single, and can accommodate 5 guests. The single room Glicine is very spacious and cool in the summer.

Varenna La Bomboniera

Varenna La Bomboniera is located in the hamlet of Pino in Varenna, with a panoramic view of the lake. The cottage, being independent, gives guests great privacy and the garden is entirely available, making this holiday home a real jewel. It is ideal for enjoying the sunsets over the lake with a drink. Please note the City Tax is not included in the total amount. It has to be paid at the check in.
