Elizabeth's Thatched Cottage is a two hundred year old listed building located in the heart of a working farm on The Wild Atlantic Way. The cottage has three bedrooms, bathroom, sitting room and kitchen with stunning views of the River Shannon. 30 minute drive to Adare Manor and Ballybunion Golf Club, Limerick Greenway and an hour away from Killarney National Park. Tarbert/Killimer ferry to Burren National Park and Cliffs of Moher 5 minutes away. An hours drive from Shannon and Kerry Airports.

Travelling to all that County Clare's west coast has to offer is easily done from our location. A few miles away, you can walk the longest sand beaches in Ireland, marvel at the breathtaking Cliffs of Moher, take a ferry to the rugged Aran Islands or play golf at Lahinch Championship golf course.

The Old Schoolhouse on the Shannon Estuary

The Old Schoolhouse is a beautifully renovated house which was originally the local national school built in 1887. All rooms in the house have breath taking views of the Shannon estuary. The house has wooden floors and ceilings throughout and a balcony where guests can sit and have breakfast overlooking the river. Labasheeda is a peaceful village on the Wild Atlantic way within easy reach of Kilimer Car ferry, Loop Head, Kilkee, the Cliffs of Moher any many more beautiful sights.

We offer spaces to unwind and be immersed in nature. we live simply in our forest garden growing vegetables ,medicinal herbs and fruit trees and bushes. Our passion is nature and rewilding ,we are happy to share what we have been doing here for over 30 years equally we are happy to leave you in peace amongst the trees and plants of the garden We are close to many places of interest like the Burren National park, Coole park and East Clare Way hiking routes. Galway and Limerick city.

Retreat to this charming and elegant home located just a short drive from Miltown Malbay, Lahinch and the Cliffs of Moher.
