This 150 year old cottage is based in the small village of lettermacaward in County Donegal a great location for exploring Donegal ,The cottage sits on the edge of Owenies forest, where wild deer can be seen roaming , it is a lovely private location , 1 minute walk down our path (not suitable for elderly )takes you to your own private beach on the Gweebarra river Gallaghers shop and Gweebarra bar and cafe are a 2 min walk and Elliott’s traditional bar is a 3 min walk (no need for taxis)

It is set on 12 acres with a river running through it and a tumbling waterfall right by the cottage. Only 15 minutes drive to Donegal town, which has some really nice restaurants and bars. There is a castle to explore in the town and a wonderful craft village with a very good cafe. Ten minutes drive to Harveys Point and twelve minutes from Lough Eske castle, both reputable 5 * hotels.
