Welcome to our barn conversion which we hope will provide you with the perfect escape, a base for your countryside adventures or a bed after exploring nearby towns and cities. Located on a working dairy farm the barn was converted in 2019 into 2 separate apartments each accommodating max 4 people. At the moment only the ground floor apartment is available to guests. Perfectly located with easy access from the M1 motorway, an hours drive from Dublin and Belfast and only 8 min by car to Dundalk.

Our 'Tranquil Haven by the River Fane' is just a 12.5 KM. drive from the M1 Motorway and part of the famous ‘Drumlin Country’ of Co Monaghan. 'Candlefort Lodge' is a 95 sq m./(1022sq ft.) sized apartment at the lower ground level of our home. It is self-contained, bright, and private. Come to our locale and enjoy a relaxing experience with a beautiful outlook onto a spacious garden with the River Fane flowing by.

No 3rd party bookings and our accommodation is not suitable for children under 12 years of age. The granny flat is joined to our family home, a large 5 bedroomed house in the beautiful seaside village of Blackrock, Co Louth. We are less than 5 minutes walk to the beach, shops, bars and restaurants on the seafront of the village, from where there is a regular bus service in to Dundalk.
