Return from a long day of skiing to warm up in the wood fired cast iron tub by the river or enjoy the six person electric hot tub with lounger and watch the Salmo river flow by. Or dry off by the woodstove and watch a movie on the 4K 100” projector

The Acorn Guest House

The Acorn Guest House is a two-level, self-contained accommodation located 2 minutes from the ferry landing in Balfour, BC and only 30 minutes from Nelson. Features include a full kitchen, 2 bedrooms with queen beds, 1 ½ baths, a washer and dryer, patio and balcony, fire pit, and plenty of free parking with room for RV's or Trailers. Our Guests appreciate "The Acorn" for its close proximity to Balfour, Ainsworth Hot Springs, Kokanee Creek Provincial Park, and the beautiful Balfour Golf Course.

Moosu Guest House and Spa, Cedar Hot Tub and Sauna

Moosu Guest House is a railroad style cabin designed for two people with 12 foot ceilings and floor to ceiling windows in the bedroom for a superb stargazing experience. The private outdoor spa features a salt water cedar hot tub and barrel sauna. Turkish spa towels and cozy robes are provided to complete the spa experience. As part of your stay you will be welcomed with a package including coffee from Nelson’s two iconic roasters Oso Negro and No6 Coffee Co, and tea from Nelson’s Virtue Tea.

A Peaceful and Private Studio Suite

A beautiful suite nestled in nature. It is located just outside of Balfour with access to the ferry landing, balfour store, a gas station and bakery. Ainsworth Hotsprings is a short 15 min drive, Kokanee Creek Provincial Park is 10 minutes away and Balfour Golf Course is even closer! Nelson and all its amenities is about a 25 minute jaunt. 4 wheel drive is recommended during winter weather as the last little stretch is a little steeper. Winter weather can be unpredictable.

Novelty and adventure are nearby: only 3 minutes to Nelson, 28 minutes to Whitewater Ski Hill, and 1 minute to Lyons Bluff hiking trail.

Situated on Kootenay lake, our suites provide travelers with a choice between two unique and beautiful accommodations. Both suites are spacious and feature incredible lake and mountain views, private decks, fully equipped kitchens, and private access to a secluded beach. Welcome! We are the Bearfoot Bungalows! Enjoy a one bedroom one bathroom cottage at the end of a quiet street 6 minutes from Castlegar. This relaxing area has a large yard with communal area. Our property borders the Selkirk Loop walking trails, is near Selkirk College and the Regional Airport. The bungalows provide a clean, comfortable stay with all the amenities including fully stocked kitchen and stylish furnishings.
