Welcome to George's! Located in the "Village" area of Amelia County! Our apartment within the home is CLEAN, inviting, and in a friendly area with a hometown feel! Our business tenant's office is also within the home and is usually there during weekdays. There are deadbolts on all doors between guests and our business tenant so no one will be sharing space with you. (Sorry, we aren't set up for guests under 8 yrs old). Longwood University and Hampden-Sydney College is near by. Visit High Bridge State Park for hiking and Greenfront is a shopping destination. Lots of dining options will appeal to every taste and plenty of other activities to enjoy in this area. There is no phone-internet or satellite at The Hide-A-Way, Cell phones do work.

Farm House Retreat

This quaint 1743 farmhouse has been lovingly restored and offers a quiet reprieve from the city or rest from a long drive. We are at the end of a private road and are nestled among 70 acres of hardwood forest. Nights are dark and quiet and days are filled with free ranging chickens and guinea fowl. We are diligently rebuilding native habitat and work on site. Our home is on the property across the ponds. A confirmed identity is required for booking.

The Guest House at Waverly Farm

Relax with the whole family at our peaceful county house. Enjoy a free farm tour with our staff to meet the sheep, goats, horses, and friendly barn cats; have coffee on the back porch to watch the sunrise or drinks on the front porch to watch the sunset while the kids play on the playset; go on a fishing trip with farm staff; cook something fabulous in our amazing kitchen; or just relax and enjoy some fresh air and quiet in the country.
