Mother Earth 'Turquoise' Hogan (#2)

You will love our place for its prime location in MonumentValley, 10 minutes from the park. You will be hosted by a local native family eager to share the Navajo culture and highlights of things to see n do. Our hogan has an electric power outlet for lighting, charging devices, or to enjoy a cup of coffee/tea. Wifi is available, but not guaranteed therefore not charged. We serve a small, free continental breakfast. Dinner is available upon request, please add to comments when reserving.

Offers 2 comfy queen beds, one in a private bedroom and the other in a sleeping alcove off the living room, plus a sofa bed. After a day of hiking, enjoy the oversized tub or spacious shower. The surrounding bluffs and ancient cottonwoods enhance this peaceful setting on a quiet street. Restaurant and Bears Ears Educ Center close by.

Come stay with us in this rustic destination. This is Camping at its finest. Canyon De Chelly National Monument and town of Chinle are only minutes away. Enjoy horseback riding and storytelling around the fire pit. BRING SLEEPING BAGS, BLANKETS, DRINKG WATER AND ALL TOILETRIES (toilet paper). There is no running water and no indoor bathroom. There are free roaming livestock and dogs on the property, do not let them inside the cabins. Please keep your pets away from the animals.

Turquoise Cabin

Come relax and rejuvenate in our quaint Turquoise Cabin. Ideally located in the heart of Monument Valley, you’ll have easy access to the local attractions: MV park, hiking trails, grocery store, restaurants, fuel station. This newly constructed eco friendly cabin is outfitted with the basic necessities one will need for a pleasant stay. All bedding, linens, comforter, bath towels are changed daily. Living room and fire place all provided for good measure.

Experience a basic Navajo style stay!

The place is a Navajo Home- stone hogan made back in the 1960's by my late grand father. It's located 4 miles south of Hovenweep National Monument. There are great views of mountains and canyons nearby. It's in a remote location with no running water and limited electricity but is considered to be in the middle of most known National Parks. The Hogan will consist of a bed and also 2 additional cots. The style is very basic.

This is a very private cottage with large sitting deck and beautiful views of the cliffs. The home was originally located on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon where it served as housing for park employees. It's extremely cozy with great lighting...sleeps four people comfortably.
