Historic country cottage in Central West NSW

The cottage is located on a sheep and cattle grazing property in the Central West near the small village of Goolma. Built in the 1880s, it is renovated for accommodation and perfect for cyclists and people wanting calm quiet tranquility without the distraction of a tv. It has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a laundry, a living room with a wood stove and lots of books and a kitchen where guests can cook their own meals. There is no wifi but those who have Telstra phones will be able to be online.

The Caroo cottage is a well built shack that provides all the necessities that you'll need. From grabbing a cuppa to fishing down on the banks with the kids, it really reveals nature in the best way. From the sunrise to the sunset. Shower and toilet are external access only. It has access to wifi for all your technology needs. Pets are aloud but they are NOT ALLOWED INSIDE THE COTTAGE OR BATHROOM!!! If you would like fishing rods please advise in a message. Enquire for early check in!

The Ponderosa Farm Stay

Enjoy the sounds of nature when you stay in this unique place. Fishing the Macquarie River on the property while enjoying the local wild life. Or just sitting by the fire enjoying a cold beverage or two! It’s 120 acres of mainly farming land with alluvial flats to the river with boat access. We have horses, chickens , cats and dogs. Enjoy cooking brekky with our free fresh farm eggs and fresh oranges in season. A great experience back to nature. Come and enjoy the country experience!

You’ll love my place because its located in a quaint village where you can unwind, go for walks, eat in or out or enjoy visiting Shoyen Gardens, Zoo, Wellington Caves, live show (DRTCC) or the cultural centre. You could be wanting somewhere special to stay for a night, a few days weeks or months. The cottage has all modern comforts & is a contemporary interior. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families and business travellers. Pet fee $15 per pet / per night.
