Enjoy sea-views from the living-room or be walking on the sand in 1 minute. The deck at the rear is sunny and rural with a sheltered BBQ area. Fully renovated, in keeping with it's Art Deco architecture, the gas-fire warms the living-room. The kitchen is fully equipped, the beds are comfortable (king in master/twin singles in 2nd bedroom) and OSP for 4 cars. It's a 7 minute walk to the swimming beach, cafe and dairy. Take the 16kms to Taieri Mouth for coastal scenery, fishing, walks and picnics.

Otane Cottage is named after the rock that sits in the ocean at the northern end of Smaills Beach. Smaills Beach is at the start of the Otago Peninsula and is perfectly located for accessing stunning beaches and seeing wildlife while also only being 10 minutes from the city centre. This cottage has a stunning outlook and a quiet rural feel. It's close to local surf spots and if you are lucky with your timing you may get to see the southern lights (Aurora australis).
