SARUYA - Twin Room #8 in Modern Traditional Hostel

Our private room features 1 or 2 futon beds on traditional tatami floors. The shared areas include bathrooms, dining space and a work/lounge/library area. The hostel Saruya Hostel opened in 2015 in Fujiyoshida, a city at the bottom of Mt Fuji. We renovated an 80 years old wooden house to create a place that allows our guests to experience time and space through carefully selected art, design and objects, mixing traditional Japanese inspiration with modern aesthetics.

Experience Local Life In a village within Unzen-Amakusa National Park, our beach house stands on a unique stony shore. We self-renovated this home with love, hand-crafting the fire pit and seaside deck. Nurtured plants welcome you inside. The charm lies in the village rhythm—the sound of grass cutting or a ship’s horn. There is no rush, only the gentle flow of life. Relax and discover the luxury of simplicity.

Irori guesthouse -Tenmaku- It is opened in 2018 after spending 7month for renovation of an old Japanese ryokan. You can enjoy "Irori" which is Japanese traditional fire pit, in our common space. Also, you can try some craft beer and picked up Japanese sake at bar The location offers good access to the Hakone Open-Air Museum and the station.

Sheena & Ippei occupies a renovated 50-year-old building that was once a tonkatsu restaurant.
