Guest house located on personal property offering quiet country living. 800 square feet of living space with a front porch to enjoy nature. Located just outside of Mattoon, IL north of Lake Paradise. Just 10 minutes from Emerald Acres, 10 minutes from Lake Mattoon and 20 minutes from Lake Shelbyville. Only 16 miles from EIU and a perfect place to stay for local sporting events. Other small towns nearby worth visiting include Arthur, IL and Casey, IL. We have ample parking for cars and trailers.

Cozy Cabin (nestled in nature)

The 'Cozy Cabin' is a peaceful getaway nestled in a small cove on 48 acres. You will likely see deer, turkeys, & a variety of songbirds right from the window or porch. Soak in the peace while sitting on the deck, overlooking a beautiful ravine, with a cup of coffee or tea. Spend your evenings watching a stunning sunset then enjoy the bright beautiful stars with zero light pollution. If it rains, you will be treated to the relaxing sound of raindrops on a metal roof and pattering on the leaves.

Elk Ridge

Come and enjoy yourself at Elk Ridge, the first B&B of Wildlife Manor! Located within Aikman Wildlife Adventure, we are home to over 240 animals. This retreat offers the scenery of wildlife inside or outdoors. You have the chance to see zebras, bison, camels, and much more! Elk and water buffalo love to take a swim in the pond that Elk Ridge overlooks as well. Enjoy the natural scenery in the evening around a firepit on the waterfront deck. This will be an overnight adventure you won't forget!

Spillway Cabin’s (Brand new!) West Cabin

The Spillway Cabins are new construction with new everything! Our little slice of heaven is yours to explore and enjoy. Each cabin(west and east) have 2 br/2bth, hot tub, gas grill, Starlink internet, large flatscreen TV’s, fully stocked kitchen, and fire pits! From the south side of the cabins you will find a pathway that will take you through our 7 acres of woods and down to a lakeside pergola that has comfortable outdoor furniture, a bar, and view of our beloved Centralia Lake and spillway.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway overlooking the Embarras River. You will be able to relax and enjoy the sounds of nature in your own space. Sit on your private deck and enjoy the views. Feeling active? Hike one of the trails on our eight mile trail system. Want to canoe or kayak? You can be dropped off at Lake Charleston and canoe or kayak right to your cabin. Each morning, you’ll receive a picnic basket with farm fresh eggs from our free range chickens. Relax and revive!

Enjoy peace and nature in this 3 bd 2 bath log cabin located on 3.5 acres of wooded property just a few minutes from Lithia Marina at Lake Shelbyville, IL. This home features a fully stocked kitchen, Blackstone, 6 person hot tub and large solo fire pit. It comfortably sleeps 8 and can flex up to 11, if needed. Wildcat Log Cabin, Free Breakfast 10 acre & trails

5-10 minutes from I57, I70, and Effingham. Take it easy at this unique and tranquil oak log cabin from 60 years ago on 10 acres of woods and trails. Within walking distance of a nice little restaurant and park in Watson Illinois. Free continental style breakfast items. Seasonal gas fireplace. We do allow 1 night stays if we have openings, please ask. We do allow a pet for a fee. Wild life everywhere around you, but close enough to walk to a restaurant.

Rocky Springs Cabin: A Secluded Cabin On 40 Acres

Rocky Springs Cabin became a home away from home for many beginning in 2013. We have now just joined Airbnb! You can also find us on Google. The cabin is just 10 minutes from Lake Shelbyville and is surrounded by the Hidden Springs State Forest! This cabin rental sets on 40 acres with a pond right outside the front door. It is surrounded by trees and walking trails. The pond has a variety of fish, including, Catfish, Bluegill, and Bass.

Cottage on Lake Paradise

Welcome to Paradise Cottage nestled on Lake Paradise! Cozy and warm with wood finishes throughout. Includes three-tiered deck/patio, with the lowest level sitting over the water. Perfect for fishing (this lake hosts an annual fishing tournament), canoeing/kayaking, or just relaxing. Great for bird watching, with great blue herons, egrets, ducks, bald eagles, plovers, cormorants, woodpeckers and other species seen daily.

Rustic Acres Cabins

Forget your worries in this spacious and serene space. Come stay in our cabin and enjoy either fishing on Newton Lake or do some local hunting. We are only a couple miles from the main boat ramp and public hunting land. We are just starting out so we would love to know what you think. We still have a few things we are working on there but we hope we can make your stay as wonderful as possible.
