Yellow Cottage is an original brick miner's cottage set in the rural village of El Dorado. Featuring two bedrooms, a queen size bed and two singles, a large living/dining area with open fire, dual system central heating/air-conditioning and a freestanding kitchen. Authentic country style bathroom and laundry. The cottage is located close to the centre of the village, within walking distance to the Tavern and General Store. Beechworth, Wangaratta, Milawa are all within an easy 25 minute drive.

From the comfort of the back verandah you will enjoy views of the olive grove & beyond the lawns to paddocks with sheep and lambs. Delights inside the cottage include a rainwater shower, bathtub, fireplace, an espresso machine & super comfy bed linens. Our recently renovated cottage loves the environment & uses rainwater, solar power & vintage European furniture.

Downstairs is a sitting room, opening to a garden terrace, a separate kitchen with induction cooktop and bathroom. Beechworth, a historic, 19C, gold-era town, is 4km away.

Wark Cottage (circa 1895) named after the original owner William Frederick Wark, has been meticulously restored to modern day standards while retaining its worker cottage roots. The c1855 Villa is set on the private grounds of the old Newtown store, which has now been turned into a multifunctional venue by local design partners Megan & Ollie. The accomodation in the shopkeeper's residence has been lovingly restored complete with original heritage features. Make sure to pop next door to the cafe for the best coffee in town on the house!
