Within walking distance you'll find a community pool (seasonal) with a sand volleyball court and a fire pit. This two-story cottage sleeps up to 10 guests and showcases a master suite with two private balconies and a jetted soaking tub. You can also hang out on the private deck out back equipped with a 4-person hot tub.

The Gathering Place

The Gathering Place is the perfect place to get away and gather with family and friends. The resort is located conveniently between Bardstown, Louisville, and Frankfort on the Bourbon Trail. Offseason hiking, fireplace, and hot tub make a great peaceful getaway or work from "home" experience. Enjoy fishing, boating, kayaking, hiking, bird/deer watching and relaxing. Enjoy the wildlife as well including deer and turkey as you explore the walking trails. We are located in the heart of the bourbon country!

We’re a quick drive to the start of the Bourbon trail (5mi from Jim Beam Distillery) and the beautiful Bernheim Forest. We’re less than 30 mins from the Louisville airport or Elizabethtown. Enjoy your evening by the fire pit around back or simply in the peace and quiet. Sunrises from a rocking chair on the front porch are sure to be enjoyed.

Cottage 16 is located in Edgewater Resort at Taylorsville Lake. We offer two bedrooms and two full baths. The master suite includes a king size bed, a private bath, and a personal entrance to the back deck and hot tub. The second bedroom features two sets of bunk beds, with an additional trundle bed underneath. The back porch is the perfect place to relax and enjoy your stay. Our cottage is fully furnished and ready for you! Limited lake view during full foliage!
