The house is in the exclusive private eco estate - Cathkin Estate, bordering the uKhahlamba Drakensberg Park World Heritage Site. The estate exceeds 1,000 hectares, with an abundance of free roaming wildlife (zebra, eland, wildebeest, oribi etc) and a host of birds and flora. A dreamy location for any nature lover!

Highbourne Cottages - Aloe

An eco-friendly, off grid self-catering family style cottages part of the Monks Cowl Drakensberg World Heritage Site in KZN, South Africa. This is the perfect home away from home for anyone looking to relax. Whether it is hiking in the mountains, surrounded by beautiful nature, wildlife and birds, relaxing next to our natural stream that runs through the property with a book or wondering around the shops and restaurants down the road - there is something for everyone here at Highbourne Cottages.

Coldstream Cottage

Set on a 20hectare property on the banks of the Mooi River, Coldstream Cottage is the perfect place to unwind. Enjoy the beautiful views on the verandah, stroll down to the river or have an early morning run. The cottage is an architect designed, open plan, one bedroom unit with partly open plan bathroom. Morning sun pours through expansive glass panes, a free standing fireplace and solid wood floors help keep it warm in winter. A 20 minute drive gets you to Nottingham Road shops and restaurant

Beautiful Breeze Cottage

Beautiful Breeze Cottage sits among the stunning hills of the Dargle Valley. It overlooks 3 tranquil dams, rolling pastures and an indigenous forest. There are cattle and horses in the fields, abundant bird life to enjoy and peacefulness to breath in. It's the perfect place to recharge while escaping the pressures of city life and with the Midlands Meander on our doorstep you can be as busy or as quiet as you choose. The farm is now fully off Eskom power so load shedding is a distant memory.

Yellowwoods Farm - WILLOUGHBYS COTTAGE

We like to think that we have the best of both worlds here at Yellowwoods! The benefits of farm life, yet easy access to cafes, restaurants, bicycles trails, farmers markets, golf courses and schools. Only 2kms off the N3, we are easily accessible and very easy to find. We are a little farm so expect a bit of ‘farm noise’ about and general day-to-day goings on. Willoughbys has both inside and outside table/chairs & braai facilities - Weber as well as outside braai+'firepit'. WiFi and DSTV.

Inkunzi Cave - A Unique African experience.

Situated in one of the safest, crime-free areas of SA, with tar roads all the way, is INKUNZI CAVE. A totally unique, owner built unit with a Bushman theme. 1 bedroom only with double bed. Single bed in lounge . An amazing "rock" bath and separate shower. Overlooks a beautiful rock pool. Very private. 2 other cheaper units on the property are listed separately: THE ZULU HUT, and DIDDLY SQUAT. All have stunning mountain views, are comfortable and fully equipped for self catering.

2 Zebra View Cathkin estate, in the picturesque tranquil valley, Central Drakensberg Kwa-Zulu Natal. Nestled against Ukahlamba Drakensberg park, world heritage site. Covers 1000 hectares of virgin grasslands, indigenous forests, crystal clear mountain streams. An abundance of animal, plant species, including Eland. Unobstructed views of Cathkin peak mountains. Services/activities include trout fishing, hiking trails, game viewing, mountain biking and professional security 24 hours.

Peaceful Farm Retreat - Summerfield Farmhouse.

Enjoy peaceful but sophisticated living on a tranquil working farm with cattle, sheep, chickens and ducks. Walk in the indigenous forests, run, ride bikes, paddle our kayaks on the dam or just sit next to your fireplace and relax. Entire four en-suite bedroom home with ample living and entertaining spaces for exclusive use. A lovely family stay venue. Price is for 4 people. Additional guests charged extra. The Goodland Milk Cottage - Farm Style Cottage

Milk Cottage is completely private and secluded.You’ll love the tranquility, large open spaces and fresh air. The beds are made up with fresh white linen, fluffy white towels are provided. The cottage is good for couples, friends or families as it has two en-suite bedrooms with a queen size bed in each. TV with Netflix, selected Dstv and free WiFi. Full kitchen and braai and a cozy fireplace in the lounge. Gas stove and inverter-battery back-up during loadshedding.

Vista Road Farm Cottage

Relax with the whole family on this working farm nestled in the bends of the Mooi River. Experience the peace of the meandering Mooi River, nature, livestock and the quiet bustle of an active farmyard. Splash in the river, hike trails on the hills, or relax and braai on the verrandah. The cottage is self catering, and close to Mooi River town for supplies or takeaways. There is 4km of rough dirt road to access the farm (high clearance vehicles recommended)

A Saverite grocery store is also available a couple of Kms away. Great for families, and larger groups.
