Very quiet location at the end of a cul de sac next to MIU campus and Fairfield loop trail. Ethernet with fast fibre optic internet in all rooms and wifi can be on if needed. The house has minimal EMF pollution and no smart meter. TV has Roku, with Netflix, Amazon Prime and YouTube Premium included and DVD player. Whole house Alen air purifier with ionizing option. Six filter, reverse osmosis drinking water system. All rooms feature the work of a local award winning photographer Marty Hulsebos.

Perfectly situated walking distance to the MIU Campus, Everybody's and walking trails, our cozy and beautifully appointed, East facing chalet will have you starting each day with a smile on your face. With off street parking, this single story home features a fully equipped kitchen and laundry with dedicated ironing board. Perfect for short or long stays. The home is renovated but old - uneven flooring and imperfect finishing work.

Studio 55 at A Stone's Throw

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. This studio has parking right to the front door. It has an open kitchen into the spacious living room. A macrame room divider divides the living room and king size bedroom. Enjoy sitting on the patio and watching the sheep and horses in the pasture. Attached to A Stone's Throw, the option of renting both units make for a great reunion weekend. Lots of special touches, including Granny's cookies, will make you feel pampered at Studio 55.

Enjoy a visit to Fairfield with all the comforts of having your own home! This clean and cozy single-story house is nestled in a quiet neighborhood, just a 12 minute walk from the local bakery. It has 1 bedroom with a queen and 1 with two twins, 1 full bath, a living room and a well equipped kitchen. There is a large yard that can be enjoyed while dining on the back deck. The unfinished basement has a washer and dryer and an additional working toilet & sink. The driveway can fit 2 cars.

This cabin is nestled by the bridge across from Pittsburgh, Iowa, just a few miles west of Keosauqua. Accommodations not only include the cabin, but also 1.5 acres of flat, riverfront land to play, relax and enjoy nature. A screened porch with seating overlooks the Des Moines river. Guests can also enjoy the outdoor fire ring. The amazing wildlife along the river is absolutely beautiful. If you enjoy the outdoors, hunting, fishing and nature, this is the cabin for you!

Deeply relax in this Vastu Chalet by the Lake, set on a one-acre lot. Experience the unique energy of this World Peace community near the Peace Palace and The Raj. Walk for miles on trails around two man-made lakes. Drive just 5 miles to Fairfield, MIU, and all downtown attractions. Enjoy the entire private top floor of this duplex. A 14-step staircase leads to your apartment. We live conveniently downstairs—feel free to reach out anytime.

The Vernon Street Guest House - Suite 2

Built in 1900 and renovated in 2022, Suite 2 shows little signs of the once quirky old space. Completely private, with all the amenities, it boasts a spacious bedroom, 1 bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, living room with a desk for workspace, and a laundry room. While you're here, we hope you are able to relax and enjoy the well lit deck along with a cup of freshly roasted coffee, which we are happy to have provided.

Comfy one bedroom apartment near City Square

This newly remodeled apartment is comfortable and cozy and just a short distance from the city square. We look forward to your visit and hope our lifelong knowledge of the community will enhance your visit. This unit is a completely separate apartment, ready for your stay. Shopping services are also available. There is also a studio apartment available at this location, if more space is needed for additional family or friends.

Secret Garden

This luxuriously appointed mid century home opens onto a private deck and parklike garden. It feels like being in the country even though it is just a few blocks to the town square and similarly close to the university. The local grocery store is two blocks down an elley that feel like a country road. A truly tranquil retreat. Free bicycles make it easy to get around and enjoy the 17 mile bike trail that circles the town.
