The traditional log cabin is located on 25 acres of mostly wooded terrain in the scenic rural countryside of Wolfsville, Maryland, less than an hour and a half from D.C./Baltimore. The hosts live on the property, but the cabin is situated where it feels very private and you do not see the hosts house from the cabin. The cabin faces the woods and there is a private trail down to the creek. Take a break from everyday life, and escape to this unique and quiet retreat in the Catoctin Mountains.

A wide path leads to Antietam Creek, popular for fishing, kayaking, and tubing. 45-min drive to Whitetail Ski Resort (30 miles); 1-hr to Gettysburg, PA; Close to Antietam Battlefield, Shepherdstown, Harpers Ferry, Hagerstown, Frederick, Washington, D.C., C&O canal bike trail and Appalachian Trail. A perfect place to get away from the stresses of life to relax and unwind . You Can have a seat on the large porch overlooking the Conodoguinet creek and enjoy watching nature , watch your kids playing and splashing in the creek , make dinner with the BBQ grill on the back patio or be just plain lazy ! There is no tv at this place , our goal is to have our guests enjoy nature and in this way be refreshed and ready to go back to work.

Our cabin is located on a private stoned road. Very quiet and remote location. Keep this in mind when booking. 25 minute drive to downtown Gettysburg, 40 minutes to Carlisle Fairgrounds. Near Michaux State Forest, Pine Grove Furnace State Park and Caledonia State Park; many hiking, ATV and snow mobile trails. For those that enjoy skiing we are 30 minutes to Liberty Mountain in Fairfield and 50 minutes to Roundtop Mountain in Lewisberry.

Misty Hill Lodge - 2 BR, 2 BA, 1930's Log Cabin in Frederick will be the place where all your stress disappears as soon as you arrive. 5 wooded acres, Huge 29x29 Great Room, 80" Smart TV, Central AC/Heat. Built from American Chestnut trees that lined the property, (15min to downtown Frederick, 5 min to Middletown). The property features incredible wildlife.

In the summer of 2018, we have added an intimate brick patio area suitable for alfresco dining and for fireside sitting. It is peaceful. It is beautiful. You will not want to leave.
