Welcome to your one-of-a-kind, historic experience located in the countryside just 1 mile east of Springfield city limits. You will experience our finely furnished family home with modern technology & conveniences, originally the one-room North Round Prairie country school from 1875 to 1945. Deluxe features include nature trails, wildflowers, sitting areas, full garage access, and a working cattle farm provide a one-of-a-kind, quality experience. A 3rd bedroom suite upstairs was added in '22!

Tiny Home Cabin - No Cleaning Fee

You won’t forget the peaceful surroundings of this rustic destination. It maybe small at 375 sf, but it has all the features of most hotels with one queen bed and a full bed in the loft. Located near downtown Springfield, IL and many Abraham Lincoln attractions. Deer often walk around the property which is on a quiet dead-end residential street. The kitchen has most everything you need to cook meals. Plenty of towels, soap, shampoo, and extra pillows. Watch Netflix, Hulu, and Disney also.

The Caboose on Mayberry

Welcome to our mid 1900s caboose TP&W 527 and step back in time. Unwind and relax as you settle into your retreat. Enjoy the view from the cupalo as you browse through one of the books on board, or sit at your dinette and enjoy a board game. Sit out back in one of the adirondack chairs around your own private fire pit and enjoy s'mores, or just a peaceful evening. The caboose has been completely renovated and many modern convienences added. You'll love this unique and romantic escape!

Shagbark Landing

Forget your worries in this spacious and serene space. Drive down the lane to a secluded 3 bedroom home newly furnished. Enjoy yourself in an open concept floor plan where there is lots of room to spread out. Spend your evenings in the living room or the family room that has a fireplace. From the family room you can step out on a deck and enjoy the view of the pond. We are located 8.5 miles from Vandalia where there are historical landmarks, great restaurants, and quaint shops.

Audrey's Abode

Audrey’s Abode is just the place you have been looking for to relax and reconnect with family, friends, nature and a simpler time. Located on a 7 acre hobby farm just south of Jacksonville, Illinois (30 minutes west of Springfield), Audrey’s Abode is a fully restored historic log cabin with all the modern amenities for a comfortable getaway. Need additional space? Check out our other listing next door - Bunkhouse Seventy-Four. Pets are welcome but we charge a $35 pet cleaning fee.

The Purple Awning House at Lincoln Park

Charming two bedroom apartment overlooking scenic Lincoln Park. The only person closer to Abe will be Mary. Whether you are traveling solo or as part of a group, the Purple Awning House's spacious bedrooms, comfortable couch and a large inflatable bed (if needed) ensures everyone will have a good night's rest. * Note that this is a main floor apartment with another separate apartment upstairs (different entry). Please smoke outside and do not bring the butts inside.

Relax, kick back and take in the view. Cozy log cabin nestled in the woods with a breathtaking view of a private 2 acre stocked fishing lake. Private master bedroom features queen sized bed, and attached bath. Loft sleeps four with two full beds and an air mattress. Full kitchen with stove, full size fridge, microwave and dishwasher. Living room with sofa and dining room. Charcoal Grill, fire pit, picnic area, and walking trails. Pets are welcome.

Rt 66 House; PETS WELCOME; FENCED YARD

The Rt 66 house is on Historic Rt 66. It is 50 miles North of St. Louis; Right off I-55: PET FRIENDLY; FENCED BACK YARD. There is plenty of room to park a large U-Haul trailer. It is loaded with warm and updated furnishings. It has LOTS of 5* reviews. It has a thick memory foam queen bed. It has a coffee bar. You will hear trains. Two tracks run thru middle of town. 100 meg internet. This is a non smoking house.
