Welcome to Stoney Lonesome Retreat. Why Stoney Lonesome? Not entirely sure, you can blame it on my great grandfather, old Fredrick Richard August Christian Uhde. He named the property back in 1972 and the name has stuck!!! My parents Elward and Susan purchased our property in the summer of 1969 for $500 and we have been here ever since. My brother and I were raised here and now my wife Gretchen and I are so proud to be raising our son Simon here. The third generation on this land.

We are located 10 miles from Glacier National Park and 6 miles from Hungry Horse Reservoir. We are 1 mile from Hungry Horse which has a supermarket, gas station, laundry mat, post office, and restaurants. PLEASE NOTE we are located right next to a bar and you will hear noise.
