The space features a double bed, tea and coffee-making facilities and a porch with fire pit. The bathroom is a short walk away and is shared with other guests from the second pod. Guests also have complimentary access to our Panoramic Outdoor Barrel Sauna.

This unique accommodation experience has two cabins adjacent yet private from each other. Each has its own story inspired by New Zealand pioneers which led to the naming of the property - The Two Tales. This listing is for the first cabin, Cotton Candy - named after the finest woman pilot of the golden age of aviation Jean Batten.

The Tower, Okarito

The Tower is a comfortable two storey, seperate building with an upstairs bedroom with ensuite bathroom. It has excellent views of the sea and the Southern Alps. A warm, cosy and quiet space with a private garden. Free Wifi (system fully upgraded August 2021) Downstairs is the living room / kitchenette area. Upstairs and downstairs are connected by external stairs (see photos). Awesome outdoor bath - great for stargazing (new Aug 22). There are balconies on three sides of the tower.

Misty Peaks Guesthouse has 5 ensuite bedrooms with super King size beds (all beds can be spilt into singles if required please advise in advance) and 1 room is a twin that has a separate bathroom. From Misty peaks you will be able to see Rainforest covered hills and Mt cook and Mt Tasman from your kitchen window and also from 3 of the bedrooms. All bedrooms have heating and all beds are fitted with electric blankets.
