Cob Cottage

Channel the pursuit of pause in this one-of-a-kind earth house. The cozy retreat was hand-sculpted using local and sustainable natural materials, and features a central living space with cantilevered slab stairs leading to the loft bedroom. Guests have access to the entire cottage and surrounding property. We live in the neighbouring house, and are happy to give advice or answer questions to help you make the most of your stay. The neighborhood is quite rural and mostly agricultural with several farms and a small private vineyard. The home is a 10 minute walk from the beach and a 20 minute walk from a family grocery and deli specializing in local organic produce. Mayne Island has a small community bus. Times and routes are limited, particularly in the winter. It will stop at the driveway. We also have an official hitch hiking system with signed Car Stops where you can wait for a ride. Usually you don't have to wait long. We are happy to offer pickup and drop off at the ferry dock as a courtesy to encourage car-free travellers, on days when the community bus is not running. Please let us know ahead of time that you'll be coming without your own transportation, and we will make sure that either we or the community bus (which will drop you off at our driveway) are there to meet you when your ferry arrives. The BC Ferries terminals near Victoria and Vancouver are easily reachable via public transit from their respective airports and downtowns.

Garden to Sea B&B

Welcome to Garden to Sea B&B. We are conveniently located just steps from the beach of Fulford Harbour, park and nearby local attractions such as vineyards, breweries and more. Our private ground-level garden suite is ideally suited for stays between two days or longer-term. We offer a welcome continental breakfast, private entrance, smart TV, full kitchen, laundry and a beautiful garden area for outdoor enjoyment. Walk or bike to Fulford village and ferry terminal for groceries and shopping.

Rosie's Studio

Rosie's Studio is a very special place decorated with original paintings by the late Salt Spring Island artist - Rosemaria Behncke. This large, unique cottage/studio is situated on a 25 acre farm in the peaceful south end of beautiful Saltspring Island, close to parks, beaches, Fulford Shops and the Ferry Terminal. Relax in this quiet pastoral setting and enjoy the sweep of the ocean out to volcanic Mount Baker. We welcome families with children and pets. Update: Emily the duck has passed.

Cowichan Bay View Getaway

Take a break to unwind in beautiful Cowichan Bay on Vancouver Island - about a 40 minute drive from Victoria BC. Our renovated (in June 2023) suite is at the end of a no-through road and is only a 5-10 minute walk into the village to a fabulous, organic craft bakery, artisan shops, restaurants, a museum, a pub, a small grocery/liquor store and a popular ice cream/candy store. (Seasonal) kayak/paddle-board rentals & whale watching excursions for hire. Cowichan District Hospital 15 min drive.

Arbutus Sunset Suite

Welcome to Arbutus Sunset Suite ! This west facing lower suite (we live upstairs) w/private entrance and deck/garden area, offers rustic Salt Spring quirkiness in a rural setting. A simple but unique suite with a stone patio surrounded by roses and herbs amidst an arbutus grove. Surrender to the simplicity, and enjoy the original art, peace and quiet. Up a steep hill, 5 min drive to Stowel or Weston lake and close to Fulford Village. A good choice for a simple, quiet and restful holiday.

Welcome to our lovely studio looking over the ocean to a stunning mountain view. The suite is self -contained with a private entrance. This is a great location for discovering the many things the island has to offer including markets, vineyards, brewery, galleries, studio tour, dining, hiking and kayaking. Best Beach Soaker Tub Studio - Suite #1

Comfortable and warm garden studio a 3 minute walk to the best beach on Salt Spring,a 10 minute drive to Ganges and a short walk to a beautiful forested area. Stylish furnishings, soaker bathtub and Netflix on the TV, makes this the perfect base for your island adventure. It has its own private entrance and covered patio. The suite is in a house where the host family lives, so guests may hear occasional footsteps. Paddle board rentals available and I transport to beach or lake for you.

Our place is close to public transport, parks, the beach, great restaurant, grocery store, other shops and coffee shop.. You’ll love our place because of the great SSI neighbourhood, the comfy bed, the cosiness, proximity to the ocean, lovely gardens and flowers, friendly hosts and a nice continental breakie and snacks. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and furry friends (pets). We have a friendly dog and cat on the property.

We are within walking distance to several beach accesses, Canada Conservancy forest, and a beautiful First Nations Reserve. The beaches are launch points for nearby Russell and Portland Islands in the Gulf Island National Marine Parks.
