Nestled in a relaxing hillside setting, just a short two-mile drive from Fredericksburg's Historic Main Street and on the 290 Wine Trail, makes this the perfect vacation cabin. Enjoy the sunrise or sunset from the porch watching the deer, or gather around the fire-pit under the oak trees at night. Wind down at the end of the day enjoying the newly installed private Hot Tub and back porch deck.

Inside you will find a Jacuzzi bathtub for 2 and a king size bed with luxury linens. There is a kitchenette that includes a coffee bar with a Nespresso. We can't wait to host you!

Private cabin in the heart of the Hill Country. Built by our father in his early twenties, its known by long time guests as John's Cabin. We wanted to share this property and all its magic with anyone who genuinely appreciates the outdoors. So please enjoy a stay in a natural setting with a catch and release fishing pond, indoor/ outdoor fireplace, and all the quiet one can ask for. Sip your morning coffee to the sounds of wildlife just a few minutes away from downtown Fredericksburg.

The Gumbo Getaway is a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom cabin with a king bed and a full sofa sleeper in the living room. Our cabin was built in 2021. We welcome our guests to come enjoy our cozy spot in the hill country with the convenience of staying only 15 mins from Main Street in Fredericksburg. **Guests are permitted to walk the road starting at the cattle guard entrance and ending at The Lagniappe Lodge. (The LL has a big rock sign out front.) Do not walk past the Lagniappe Lodge.**

The cabin features two king bedrooms with efficient closets & one master bathroom with stylish vanity and a large walk-in shower. Large outdoor porch with seating and dining, hot tub, and fire pit.

This new guesthouse is the perfect spot to wind down from city life. View wildlife from the spacious covered porch or through large, sliding-glass doors. Due to the recent coronavirus restrictions, and to increase your protection, we are thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting surfaces between guests.
