Cape Point Mountain Getaway - Stone Cottage

This is one of Cape Town's environmental and historic treasures. It is a candle-lit hideaway with stunning views of mountain and sea. The Cottage is completely off grid, with fresh water coming off the mountain and energy from the sun. The cottage is built from local materials - stone walls, reed ceilings, blue gum supports. There are glass doors and windows throughout the cottage. The cottage has a beautiful open-plan bedroom and bathroom. The bathroom includes a tub, a toilet and a basin.

Protea Beach Cottage is a 3 min walk to the beach, with no main roads to cross, so ideal for families with small children. Sandy beach with some rocks but can swim at high tide. Wi-Fi. DSTV Easy View (basic) DVD player with movies. 7 min walk to Harbour Island with Ocean Basket & Antonios, for great pizza. 13min walk across dunes into GB with shops & restaurants inc Spur right on the beach. For larger groups you can book Lente Cottage (3 doors down) & Protea Cottage together for 12 guests.

Bird's Nest - Epic Escape above False Bay

It is quite impossible to describe how special this place is. You can spend days here just watching the bay change, spot a whale or the dolphins&breathe in the view Cozy and warm in winter&airy in summer its the perfect hide away all year round. Behind you is just the mountain with fantastic walking trails but the centre with all its attractions is also only 30 min away. This charming cottage, nestled in Clifton between Camps Bay and Sea Point, is surrounded by a lush garden and just a 2-minute walk from the renowned Clifton beaches. The bright and airy 2-bedroom cottage features en-suite bathrooms and an open-plan living room and kitchen. Enjoy meals on the protected patio or unwind in the garden, where a plunge pool offers a refreshing escape. The beautiful interior design includes bespoke furniture and modern appliances, creating a relaxing retreat.

Heidi's Barn, Franschhoek

Situated on a small holding 5km outside Franschhoek, opposite the exquisite La Motte Wine Estate, Heidi’s Barn offers the perfect self-catering base from which to explore the Winelands. A fire pit, outdoor dining area and a large swimming pool (shared with one other cottage) are perfect for summertime relaxation while an indoor wood-burning fireplace and wooden floors throughout make for a cosy winter escape. The barn runs on mains power with solar back up for load shedding.

Under milkwoods

This house is built directly above a secluded beach in Gordon's Bay. It has five majestic milkwood trees and an indigenous garden. The sea is often calm and the sandy beach is suitable for children. There are rock pools and cormorants and seals in the bay. The harbour and the village are within walking distance. The house sleeps four people, but only one bedroom is fully enclosed; the rest of the house is open plan. Louise will be there to welcome you on your arrival.

Hanepoot Cottage on Franschhoek farm

Hanepoot Cottage is close to Franschhoek village. You’ll love the cottage because of the spacious, private, setting on a working wine and fruit farm nestled against the mountains of Franschhoek Valley. Good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids). You are welcome to explore the farm and even practice your chipping and putting skills on the green.There is an inverter to provide electricity during loadshedding periods.

Rooiels Dream Cottage

Fully equipped 2 bedroom ‘Out-of-Africa’ bungalow. Self-catering. Sleeps 4 adults in 2-single beds, 1-queen/double. Loft area w/ skylight views of ocean and a full-size couch. Spacious lounge/dining/kitchen area connects to verandah. Separate bath/shower/toilet. Overlooks RE Nature Reserve with magnificent, unobstructed sunset views of False Bay. 150m to sea. Short walk to local pub/ beach. Braai, garage. Dog friendly but unfenced.

Stone Pine Cottage, Hout Bay

The stone & wood cottage nestles in a wild garden, the bay, beach and village just a kilometer away. The previous owner, a bachelor in his day, used to entertain girl-friends here – and romance still rules in the one-roomed stone cottage, where the mezzanine bedroom has mountain and sea views.
