I've always been drawn to the images of the Native Hawaiian Kauhale (Hawaiian Village). With the Kalo patches, the bananas, the placement of ulu and coconut tress. It all just communicated a feeling of health and vitality where the land and it's people were in harmony. This vision is my guiding light as I cultivate this space. A spacious, private, beautifully decorated large bedroom, bathroom, walk in closet with AC., private driveway and entry. Only 30 min. south of Hilo and very central place to be. Private lanai with an outdoor dining area and kitchenette. Located in a safe and quiet neighborhood, only six blocks to the ocean cliffs with walking paths and amazing sunrises. Large studio unit attached to our family home in HPP, a rural subdivision in Puna on Hawai‘i Island. 20 min from Hilo Int'l Airport & 40 min from Volcanoes NP. We have 2 large rescue dogs, Jack & Boogie, and a big blind pig, Lilo. They bark/chuff and will be excited to meet you. If you aren't comfortable around large dogs and a blind pig this is not the place for you. We also have many cats, unintentional coqui frogs, and our neighbor has goats. Animal noises are part of this rural space.
