Our large deck overlooks a mature garden stretching to walking tracks around the lake edge, across the water from award winning Lake House; the Central Springs area and Boathouse Cafe just a few meters away.

The location is right on Daylesford lake Our family has owned this property since the late 1960’s. Originally it was a humble miners cottage. My wife, Rosemary and I renovated the house in 2012 and tried to preserve the original charm and character

Lauri's Cottage - Secluded & Pet Friendly

Set on 5 acres of mainly native bushland, our cottage is a real retreat from the urban rat race. The cottage is well equipped with everything to make your stay enjoyable. We have central hydronic heating but the 2 large open fireplaces are a real feature of the cottage. We are regularly visited by kangaroos, kookaburras and other native wildlife. Fur kids are entirely welcome and we have a secure area with a large kennel if you want to leave them while you explore the delights of Daylesford.

This countryside property is set on 18 acres of mainly bushland and is a retreat from a busy life. Although secluded, the property is very close to popular Lavandula gardens, under 5 minutes to Hepburn & 10 minutes to Daylesford. Simply take in the calm and peace of the Australian bush with our resident kangaroos, kookaburras and emu, as you enjoy your morning coffee or evening drinks on the deck. With expansive valley and bush views across the dam to Mt Franklin, you won’t want to leave.

Our ORTO Cottage is gorgeous: it offers privacy or the chance to engage with us. We are a Cooking School & Regenerative Farm. We offer a tour of our property on arrival: opt out if you wish. We provide fresh eggs, home made bread, milk, coffee & seasonal herbs from our garden. Our beautiful summer wetland is perfect for swimming, fishing, reading a book. LGBTQI welcome! Stephanie’s pet friendly 2 bedroom Cottage.

A country escape for nature lovers. Very spacious with large lounge dining room leading out to front deck with spectacular views along with 2nd sitting room with a BBQ deck. Both bedrooms have a king bed and storage. There are 2 bathrooms one up and one down and a second toilet off the laundry downstairs Well equipped kitchen including pizza oven and espresso machine. Your welcome pack consists of home made pizza and fudge. Fire place available from 1st May to 30th September.

The Barn at Weatherboard

Set among an abundant and lively garden, The Barn is our fully detached, unique guest house. The building was originally a fully functional blue stone farm barn but since owning the property we have converted the space into an open plan house, complete with kitchen, bathroom, large living area and two mezzanine bedrooms. The outside remains in its original state while the inside has been decorated with a collection of artwork and objects from our travels overseas.

Stand alone Cottage with separate bathroom and kitchen recently renovated with all new furniture and appliances overlooking garden and barbecue area, located on 14 acre private property with dam and plenty of places to walk. Smeaton is a small town located 22km from Daylesford, 15km from Creswick and 35km from Ballarat in the heart of Gold mining country. We live onsite in the main house so will be more than happy to suggest things to do and places to go.
