Kalm - Riverside living

Create memories at Kalm, our Breede River retreat in Malgas. The main house sleeps 8 with 3 en-suite bedrooms, open-plan lounge, dining area and fully equipped kitchen with all amenities. Two large patios with braai and pizza oven, large lawns, shaded seating, wood-fired hot tub, volleyball, games and private jetty. Canoes and SUP's are available. The adjacent cottage sleeps 4 and offers extra privacy. Kalm is perfect for families, friends and pets seeking comfort, nature, and river adventures.

Relax in a delightful country house, based on traditional Kapstyl architectural heritage, River Shell House oozes charm & simplicity for unfussed holidays and getaways in a beautiful riverine setting. A wood-fired KolKol hot tub on the deck, is perfect for relaxation after a hard day of doing nothing or fishing ;) The house is on the Duiwenhoks river, 10 km from the estuary mouth, on opposite side of river to the village of Vermaaklikheid, and sleeps 10 in spacious, uncluttered simplicity.

The Old Oke Riverhouse

Come and stay in the first container home in Malgas! Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Rolling lawn and river access, use one of our stand up paddle boards or the Kayak and enjoy the river directly from our jetty. A brand new entertainment section that leads off the outside decking which has comfy chairs, a big braai and separate fire pit is also now available at The Old Oke Riverhouse along with a jetty which has padding to protect your boat. Whale Whispering

Escape to this serene beachfront holiday home on a dune with stunning sea and bay views. It features three queen bedrooms, quality linen, an ensuite, a shared bathroom, and a study with a sleeper couch. The open-plan living area includes a fully equipped kitchen, dining for six, a cozy lounge with a smart TV, WiFi, and an inverter for uninterrupted power. Outside, enjoy a sunny courtyard with a built-in braai, seating, a sun lounger, and an outdoor shower. The beach is just 200m away.

Riverdance Cottage (No loadshedding & fresh water)

BEAT THE WINTER BLUES with the new enclosed veranda as well as veranda fireplace and now also indoor fireplace. No LOADSHEDDING! No SALTWATER! The cottage is situated about 30 meters from the main house and 45m from the river. It is elevated and overlooks the BreedeRiver. 2 x two-man canoes are available. There is rainwater to be used as cooking and drinking water. There is a TV in the cottage with Netflix and DSTV Live connected. This is the place to relax and regroup. Enjoy

Self catering spacious one bedroom flat on upper floor with two additional beds in the lounge. Private entrance and off street parking. Stunning views over tidal river from balcony. Braai facilities available. Main swimming beach only a 5 minute drive or 15 minute walk. Nature garden opposite property. 5 min walk to pub, restaurant, tearoom, laundromat and coffee shop. Enjoy rowing on the river in our canoe or kayak at high tide from the garden steps.

During winter season, Southern Right Whales will be visible right from your doorstep. If you are lucky you may even see a calf being born! Children can play on the beach while you watch them from the deck or balcony. A child-friendly tidal pool is a mere few steps away.
