Cozy alpine guesthouse cabins with in-house natural hotspring baths in the forested highlands of Japan's epic 3000m Nagano Alps, offering the closest possible accommodation to the "Roof of Japan" - the Alpine Route and Takase hiking treks. Hakuba ski resorts start 15 minutes away. We also have a compact music studio in the main lodge with guitars, bass, keyboard and electronic drum kit - suitable for a small group of musicians with space for 3 to 4 players and 6 to 8 intimate audience seats.

Penke Panke Lodge - Double room w/Bath & Breakfast

This Double room with a private bathroom was completely renovated in 2024 and is nicely finished with many modern comforts and a nicely finished tiled bathroom. Penke Panke Lodge is located by the Sakka lifts at Happoone Mountain and is surrounded by trees and Tori Co restaurant is located opposite the lodge. The lodge also offers pick up and drop off service and shuttles to the Happo Gondola and also oneway dinner drops in the evening. We also have complimentary bikes for guests.

This room is a Japanese Tatami room with western beds. The room is a south east facing room with great sunlight throughout the day. The beds can be set up as 2 x single beds or 1 King size bed. Extra futons can be added with up to 3 people able to stay comfortably. Extra costs per person for larger groups. Penke Panke Lodge is a well equipped nature lodge located in the scenic upper Wadano at the base of Happoone ski resort. Enjoy nature but without loosing all the modern comforts of home.
