Historic Owl Pine Cabin: creek+town+nature

On Strawberry Creek in Idyllwild's historic district, the Owl Pine Guest Cabin was built in 1922. It's the best of both worlds w/ plenty of nature (burbling creek, rock paths, trees, birds, mountain air, stars) + close to civilization (the property is near restaurants/shops). Native rock fireplace, hot tub, eclectic art, record collection/player, games, books, TV, Wifi, BBQ, fire pit hang deck. We have a chicken coop, happy to leave eggs at the cabin upon request. Welcome to our piece of paradise in the pines! Recently renovated rustic chic cabin featuring all new furnishings, organic linens, raised wood beam ceilings & numerous windows! A true nature lovers dream, find yourself relaxing on the expansive deck while enjoying stunning mountain sunsets! Cozy up to the warm fire pit while delighting in bird watching during the day & stargazing at night. The spiral staircase leads to our favorite feature, the loft bedroom with picture windows & treetop views!

Walk to Town! Cozy Studio Cabin in the Woods

Blocks away from the heart of Idyllwild, yet surrounded by trees and wildlife, this secluded gem is the perfect romantic or quiet getaway! Watch the jays and squirrels eat peanuts from the deck or nibble at seeds from the yard. This cabin was completely remodeled with a hand laid shower mosaic to the wooden beams made from trees grown and harvested directly from our property, and much more, you will see the love and craftsmanship that went into finishing this cabin. Welcome to the MoonCreek Cabin. This designer cabin is tucked in a quiet area surrounded by majestic trees w/ its very own seasonal stream, and a sweeping view of Lily Rock. This cabin opens up with vaulted ceilings, skylights to stargaze, large windows with amazing views, a fireplace with a warm ambiance in splendid isolation. Outside we have a huge wrap around deck w/ a hot tub. Let that mountain air filter out your stress, relax, rejuvenate and cuddle by the fire after a long day of play.

Perched high on Idyllwild’s North Ridge, Treetop Terrace sits in a canopy of oak trees and offers amazing views from its expansive upper deck. Enjoy the charm of its mid-century architecture and vintage-inspired furnishings. Features include floor-to-ceiling windows, an open-concept layout, a recreation room, and wheelchair accessibility. Conveniently located 3-minutes from the village, it is easy to enjoy the charms of Idyllwild and the beautiful San Jacinto mountains from the Treetop Terrace.

Cozy modern mountain chic cabin nestled right in the middle of the village, yet still feels secluded. Perfect for a romantic getaway or family vacation with large gated snow play yard. Music lovers enjoy the piano, guitar, record player and the music-themed decor. Just a few steps from restaurants, shopping, live music, events, art galleries, wine tasting, brewpub, coffee shops, bakeries, grocery store, theater and playground. Direct access to Strawberry Creek is just at the end of our street!

Fern Creek Cottage

This cabin was built in 1922 and has been lovingly maintained & upgraded. We're walking distance to restaurants, shops & a local microbrewery. Our guest cottage features a private deck overlooking Strawberry Creek and a natural fern garden, providing the perfect retreat and ideal setting for your morning coffee or afternoon wine. The kitchen includes a vintage stove & refrigerator for light meal preparation & the bedroom comes with a SleepNumber bed for your personalized sleeping comfort.

Cedar Treehouse Idyllwild~Near Town~Stunning Views

Step into Cedar Treehouse & experience mountain living in a curated home boasting magnificent views of Lily Rock & the surrounding forest. Ideally located close to town, only a 10-15 min walk to explore the local shops, restaurants, & art galleries. Just over 2 hours from Los Angeles or San Diego & 1 hour from Palm Springs, enjoy world-class hiking, breathtaking views, & all that the unique and preserved town of Idyllwild has to offer. Bathrooms were remodeled in 2023 and the kitchen in 2025!

Relax and enjoy nature at our beautiful, tranquil, lovingly remodeled A-frame cabin, now with a brand new master suite and sunroom! Within walking distance from the center of town, it's perfectly situated on a quiet street amongst the trees, buzzing with blue jays and hummingbirds. Curl up by the fireplace and enjoy surround-sound tunes, or have a spa-like soak after hitting the nearby trails. As a creative couple ourselves, we designed this space for romantic getaways and creative retreats.

The Owlz Downlow

“Artists’ Paradise!” This 500 sq ft one-bedroom storybook cabin (ideal for just two adults - no parties!) was built in 1930 by Idyllwild miners and is hidden on an acre of thick woods with private hiking trails where you will discover a large hovering UFO, 2 real crashed airplanes, among other artifacts. It is also home to the owner’s vintage Jeep and motorcycle collection. Every room is filled with original rock and roll themed art projects and the kitchen ceiling is a museum unto itself.
