The Uptown House

Updated historic bungalow just a 10 minute walk to the Independence Square which is a FIFA World Cup Region Direct Stop!! Enjoy all of the history our neighborhood has to offer by visiting the Truman Presidential Museum and Library, The Truman Home, Frontier Trails Museum, Independence Train Station, and the Community of Christ World Headquarters which are all within walking distance! Just a quick drive to downtown Kansas City as well as Arrowhead or Kauffman Stadiums or the Silverstein Arena!

Come stay for a cozy getaway in the charming town of Liberty! House is within walking distance of Liberty square, Hammerhand Coffee, Price Chopper, Family Tree Nursery, Quiktrip, etc. 20 min to downtown Kansas City. 19 min to stadiums. 23 min to airport. Family-friendly space. There’s a baby crib in a closet, just let me know if you need it set up ahead of time. The house is 100 years old, so it has lots of creaks and character, but I keep it maintained and clean for my wonderful guests!

The Secret Service House in Downtown Independence

Look across to President Harry Truman's home, just as his secret service detail once did while occupying this historic house from 1970 to 1982. The home retains its historic character, plus latter-day luxuries like a 50" TV and bathroom with rain shower and clawfoot tub. Other upgrades include a modern kitchen and a dining table suited for both seating 8 and a competitive game of ping pong.

Charming Waldo Reader's Retreat

Sweet little bungalow in the heart of Waldo. Sits at the back of the property, so there is no fenced in yard. We had a new driveway poured in 2025, you’re welcome to use that or park on the street. Main bedroom is on the ground floor with an additional bed upstairs (the stairs are ladder-like, so not suitable for everyone!). We love this little house so much and think you will too.
