The house sits on the side of Mount Neritos, completely surrounded by terraces of trees, and the stillness is only broken by goat bells that float on the air, cicadas that rattle, and the sea that murmurs just below. The position of the house offers dramatic views and breathtaking sunsets, and Kandiliotika is perfect for those looking for a hidden retreat for painting, writing, composing, yoga, snorkelling, swimming, reading, relaxation and renewal. Ithaca is a beautiful, rugged and untouched place which welcomes visitors with its simple pleasures. It’s a small workaday place, never a land of plenty, and even its gradual tourism has not really stemmed the de-population.
