Come out and enjoy nature and look at the stars at the Ponderosa. Lake Sam Rayburn is 35 min., Steinhagen Reservoir is 10 min. away and Big Thicket National Game preserve is minutes away. This is a newly constructed cabin located on the Angelina River. Quiet surrounding and just minutes away from the South end of Lake Sam Rayburn and the Umphrey Family Pavilion. With the outdoor enthusiast in mind, there is a range of activities from fishing, hunting, watersports, golf, and dining all within a 10 minute drive. This two bedroom one bath with a loft is perfect for an entertaining getaway for a family with kids or a couples retreat for relaxing with a nice view.

Rooster Tail Resort

Quaint studio guest house located on a private 2 mile lake, ideal for all boating activities including fishing, water skiing or just soaking up the sun. This property is secluded under a shaded canopy of oaks, in a quiet, country setting. A fire pit, BBQ area, swim area and dock, which is fitted with cleats for docking your boat or jet skies, are available for use. Plenty of parking. Pets under 20lbs are allowed with PRE-APPROVAL BEFORE BOOKING ONLY.

The Longhorn Guest Cabin

This is a newly renovated guest cabin located on a 70 acre ranch with access to walking trails, the Theuvinin creek for fishing and three miles from the start of the National Park Service Turkey Creek trail and the Pitcher Plant Trail. During summer months the park service has night hikes, canoeing, star gazing and free fishing days. Microwave oven available. Cabin accommodates 4 guest with a minimum of a four night stay. Cabin is nonsmoking.
