Only 10 minutes to Jay Peak Ski Resort. Secluded in the woods right next to Starr Brook, yet only a 2 min drive to the Jay Village Inn restaurant and bar and the Jay Country Store. Fire pit with cooking grate next to the brook you are welcome to use weather permitting. Great hiking, biking trails, snow showing and Nordic skiing minutes away. Come and embrace the majestic beauty of Vermont from Sugar Hill, a quaint log cabin nestled on 24 acres of beautiful countryside. Enjoy the views of the Canadian mountains from the front porch with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine; or wander around the pasture or woods behind the cabin. Close to both Jay Peak and downtown Newport, you can enjoy all those locations have to offer, or simply relax. Please note that the stairs to the 2nd floor are steeper than usual.

Located in the heart of Brownington Village, and about 15 miles from the Canadian border, our property allows for easy access to many scenic locations. Enjoy all that Vermont's Northeast Kingdom has to offer including many beautiful lakes, hiking trails, bike paths, and ski areas. There are about a dozen homes in the village and you will hear traffic going by, including horses and buggies carrying our Amish neighbors.
