The Cottage at Historic Sutherland Manor est. 1807

(Please note the siding is being redone on the farmhouse in front of the cottage so there will be construction noise at times) This farm cottage is located on a historic 40 acre farmstead behind a beautiful farmhouse (which is under renovation) with views of The Peak, Ashe County’s highest mountain. We are bordering Elk Knob State Park and a 10 minute drive to the park entrance. The farm is located in the historic Sutherland valley district and was built in 1807 by Thomas Sutherland.

Relax at this peaceful place to stay. One bedroom plus comfy queen sofa sleeper and twin cot. Lots to do with the Appalachian Trail, waterfalls, 3 lakes, Roan Mountain, Cherokee National Forest, and Bristol Speedway and Casino nearby! Great fishing, hiking; ideal for adventure enthusiasts! In Stoney Creek on the outskirts of Elizabethton, Tennessee, you will have a complete kitchen, laundry, fire pit, internet tv, beautiful views and ample parking for a boat, camper or trailer.

Scott Hill Cabin #2

This is our second cabin built by hand. It has a kitchen with a stove, mini fridge, microwave and coffee pot. It also has basic cooking necessities. The cabin has a full size bed. The restroom has a sink and stand up shower. We will provide towels and linens. Despite the listing saying 2 beds, it is in fact, 1 double bed. Sorry for the listing mistake. We allow pets, but ask for prior knowledge. We are just minutes from 2 separate trailheads to the Appalachian Trail.

The Bungalow at Grandpa's Mountain

The Bungalow is a cozy not-so-tiny home at 420 sq ft. A 16x20 Gothic Arched building designed and built by the owner. Besides a fully equipped kitchen, lovely bathroom, and comfortable sleeping quarters, you will find wonderful amenities outside! Views of mountains, pasture, and woods. Relax in a hammock or tell your secrets to Drifter the horse. Often Mr Groundhog or the Deer family will visit, too. The Bungalow at Grandpa's Mountain is a quiet getaway.

A scenic path is just steps from the front door and leads to Watauga Lake, with deeded lake access. Public boat launch is one mile from the cabin. Two spacious bedrooms with walk-in closets. A multi-purpose room serves as a third bedroom or game-room. Fully equipped kitchen with everything necessary for meal preparation.

Adventure awaits at Big Valley. Newly constructed timber framed style log home/ cabin. Situated on 108 acres. We invite guest to explore the many walking/hiking trails. At least 7 ridgetop knolls with fantastic mountain views. We offer a fishing on site at the pond located just across the road from the cabin.
