Benton Guesthouse: Nostalgic Shōwa-era (ex-Akiya)

Welcome to Ōmishima! Benton Guesthouse is a former abandoned 'akiya' lovingly renovated into our Shōwa-era private full-house rental. Our house is furnished 'natsukashii' nostalgic style, in the 'inaka' Japanese countryside, conveniently located in the middle of the Shimanami Kaido island chain. 7-minute drive to Oyamazumi Shrine. 7-minute drive to Tatara Bridge (to Ikuchijima). 10-minute drive to Ōmishima Bridge (to Hakatajima). 7-minute walk to Idahachiman Shrine. 10-minute walk to the beach.

100-year-old cozy town house, near rabbit island

Former traditional Japanese confectionery shop(Machiya house). Good access to the Tadanoumi port(about 10 minutes walk) and JR Tadanoumi station(2 minutes walk). You can take the ferry to Okunoshima(rabbit island) from the port. Near-by sightseeing spots: Mt.Kurotaki, Kaguya-hime museum, Preservation district of important historical buildings in Takehara city. Optional dinner is available at cafe area with extra charge. We are sorry but you will hear the noise from the cafe from 8am -11pm.

旧雨今雨は、中国の言葉で「旧き友と新しき友」という意味を持つ四字熟語でございます。坂道を徒歩３分ほど登っていただきますと、築百年以上の歴史を有する伝統的な日本家屋にたどり着きます。 敷地内には広さ約1,000平米の庭園が広がっており、玄関前には大きな桜の木がございます。さらに、広々とした芝生や展望デッキも備えており、宿泊者様がご自由にご利用いただけるバーベキュー用の設備もご用意しております。芝生エリアは、大切なペットたちが思う存分遊べる場所となっており、また専用のペット用ケージも備えております。 館内は全館にわたり現代的な改修を施しており、伝統的な建物の趣を保ちながら、快適なご滞在をお約束いたします。最新のシステムキッチン、自動トイレ、高級浴槽などを完備し、水回りも広々としており清潔でございます。寝具につきましては、現代的なベッドと伝統的な畳でお休みいただける布団をそれぞれご用意しておりますので、お好みに応じてお選びくださいませ。さらに、宿に向かう坂道の手前には、2台分の専用駐車スペースもご用意しておりますので、お車でお越しのお客様も安心してご利用いただけます。

Japanese Potter's Guesthouse - Wasyugama Kiln Stay

Welcome to Wasyugama, a traditional Bizen pottery kiln guesthouse in the peaceful hills near Kurashiki, Okayama. Stay beside an active pottery workshop and experience the quiet charm of rural Japan. Most guests stay 2–3 nights, but longer stays are warmly welcomed. The house, hand-built with natural wood by my father and me, is a private rental with kitchen, bath, and beds for up to 5 guests. Pottery experience available (booking required).

The peaceful atmosphere and scenic beauty of the surrounding islands make it a captivating destination. A 90-year-old traditional house, filled with local memories, has been transformed into a private vacation rental. We hope you can take your time and enjoy your stay as if you were living on the island!

"Log House" on Ikuchi Island

We have the second house in Ikuchi Island. You can stay there whenever we don't use it. Please check in between 3pm and 9pm. Please pick up this house key from the key case on the premises. There is no WIFI in this house. There are no restaurants or convenience stores nearby. There is a cafe nearby, but it closes at 5pm. There are no street lamps around the neighborhood. Please turn on the outdoor light when stepping out at night.

Shiomi House Island Village Hostel (Entire House)

Sashima is the most relaxing island around Shimanami Kaido. Four rooms are separated with fusuma (Japanese wood and paper door without key) and can be used flexibly. Both rooms face the courtyard, and you can relax on the Engawa, an old-styled wooden veranda. Enjoy island life in a Japanese classical house.

Inn in the best location in Matsuyama City

This is a room on the top floor of a vintage condominium in the center of Matsuyama city, near downtown and Matsuyama Castle. Very convenient location with good restaurants and a historic public bath nearby. The room has a separate toilet, kitchen, and bath, and is not shared with others.

新尾道駅周辺では唯一の宿泊施設です。 宿泊施設は伝統的な日本家屋で、母屋にお泊り頂きます。 1日1組限定で、4名様まで宿泊可能です。 ワンちゃん一匹のみ一緒に宿泊可能です（但し、畳部屋ではケージに入れて頂きます）。 新幹線から近いので通過する毎に騒音及び振動があります。音に敏感な方には不向きかも知れません。 （PM11:40～AM6:20は運行しないので静かです） 2人でご宿泊の場合は、寝室を別々にすることが可能です。又は2 つのシングルベッドを結合してダブルベッドのようにすることもできます。 あなたのご要望をお聞かせください。 喫煙はできませんので注意して下さい。
