The Beara Bus....with Awesome Views

The Beara Bus is a unique living space situated on the coastline with stunning views across the Atlantic to the Sheeps Head and Mizen Head Peninsulas and Bere Island. The entrance to the harbour of Castletownbere ( Irelands second largest fishing port) can be seen with the daily coming and goings of the fishing fleet. In the waters below the Bus basking shark, minke whale and dolphins are frequent visitors. The sun rising up over Sheeps Head Peninsula can make for an unforgettable breakfast !

The Alpaca Lodge is a free standing stone building next to our farmhouse in a rural location (16km from Kenmare), surrounded by our herd of friendly free-roaming alpacas and llamas, with stunning views of Kenmare Bay. It has a cozy bedroom with a king-size bed, a small seating area and en-suite bathroom. Cereal, milk, porridge, orange juice, snack bars and biscuits are provided in the room, and there is a kettle, microwave, toaster and a small fridge, tea & coffee, cutlery & plates . AGE 12+

Camomile Cottage is a newly renovated property located just over 4.5 kilometres from Kenmare town. It’s prime location places it on the Iveragh Peninsula, along the Ring of Kerry driving route, with the Kerry Way walking trail 350 metres away. Kenmare is a 5 minute drive, Sneem is 15 minutes, and Killarney National Park is less than half an hour over the scenic Molls Gap. The property itself is tucked away on a quiet country lane, surrounded by native woodland with a stream meandering by.

My house is also a perfect base from which to explore the stunning scenery and traditional villages of the Ring of Kerry, Ring of Beara and the Wild Atlantic Way. Watch the otters, sea birds and wild deer from your deck overlooking the beach. Relax in the outdoor Jacuzzi or inside beside our wood burning stove. A spacious house, secluded and private, it was originally built by my grandparents as a holiday home in the 1950s, now successfully renovated for the 21st century!
