We are set up for the youngest (crib, toys, swings)to the oldest ( one step into first floor, bedroom directly across from bathroom). Fall and winter stays bring even more quiet and respite from the outside world.

Overlooking Kennebec River, Riverside is a perfect setting. Open 365 days per year; 2BR, 1 BA, kitchen, DR/common area. Situates 6 comfortably, 8 with use of floor mattresses. Renovated, open concept, our home is wheelchair accessible with a wide range of amenities for disabled. We accept Service dogs and will consider family dogs and other pets on a case-by-case; please ask. Owners reside on property in separate building. Outdoor trail cameras in use to monitor exterior of residence only.

Relax in the hot tub or infrared sauna, grill on the deck, enjoy the backyard or visit downtown Hallowell and explore its restaurants, cafes, live music and antique shops. This home is also minutes away from several hiking and walking trails that can all be found in our guidebook.

Room B has a full size bed with luxury mattress and private bathroom with towel warmer & glass shower. The room includes a desk, TV, minifridge, microwave, coffee maker, dresser, reading chair & private entrance. In the summer we have bicycles to use on the rail trail and kayaks for the Kennebec River. Year round hot tub & sauna in gym. Downtown is just a block away where there are numerous restaurants and pubs with live music. Hiking trails & waterfalls nearby.

Blue Loon Camp on Pleasant Pond

This is a lovely cozy camp on Pleasant Pond. Public boat access makes it a popular lake for boating and bass fishing. The camp has dock and swim float for water fun and cool breezes from the lake make it a lovely place to be in the summer. Winter time the lake accommodates ice fishing and snowmobilers. The cabin sleeps four in bedrooms and two in the loft. Get away from it all with NO wifi or television to distract from the recreational activities.

Classic Lakefront Maine Cabin

This lakeside 3 bedroom retreat with huge quarried stone fireplace defines a "Maine cabin". My grandfather built the Big House in 1944 with rustic knotty pine walls, high ceilings, a modern kitchen, a spacious screened porch ten feet from the water, and spectacular lake views from every room in the house. Truly a rare and unique property in an age where newer buildings have large setbacks from the lake's edge.
