Large living room windows and a spacious deck provide you with a bird’s eye view of the rippling river and many types of wild life. Deer amble through the property; eagles soar and keep an eagle eye on everything. Turkeys, squirrels, coons, and myriad of birds go about their business in this serene environment. Driftless Region Cabin/ Stream and Sauna

Settle into a quaint farmhouse nestled in a valley in the rolling, forested hills of the Driftless Region. Start your day with a cup of local coffee on the front porch. Go on a long walk or bike ride, then return to the cottage to cook, play board games, listen the record collection or visit Viroqua (25 minutes) for a farm-to-table 5-star dinner, or check out local music. Build a warm fire outdoors/ warm up by the gas stove indoors, or go down to the stream for a sauna by the cool water creek.

Come and enjoy a restful and quiet stay while exploring the beautiful and friendly Driftless Area. You will have a sense of peace knowing you have found a place to return to and re-energize whenever you need it!

Location, comfort, and views for miles! This sanctuary is minutes from the Kickapoo Valley Reserve, Wildcat Park and nestled on 10 private acres with stellar views from the wraparound deck. This is THE place to immerse in nature then relax with a meal and a cozy fire. Soak your tired muscles in the claw foot tub after a fun day out exploring. Enjoy the cold A/C, the toasty fireplace, or the chef's kitchen. Families enjoy the kid gear and safe single level space for a low stress retreat

Back Roads Cabin Retreat

Enjoy a weekend off the grid in our rustic cabin on 30 acres of wooded serenity. Watch the sunset on the covered porch, or relax around a campfire. Feel free to explore the woods taking a hike on the network of trails. Nearby you can visit winery's, Wildcat Mountain State Park, the Kickapoo Valley Reserve and more. The driftless region is known for great fishing, scenic drives through the hills and biking. Contact us about additional camp sites on the property for larger groups.

Maple Ridge Guest Apartment

This apartment was added to the back of our detached garage about 5 years ago. Low or no VOC products were used throughout construction. Brand new appliances installed with an oven big enough to cook the biggest turkey I’ve ever dreamed of. Spectacular ridge top views and beautiful starry nights. Hiking and cross country ski trails on the property of about 75 acres. Pick hazelnuts in the fall, collect and boil your own maple sap in the spring and pick blueberries in the summer.

Overlooking a small pond and Mill Creek in the valley below, The Water Villa offers guests beautiful views of the countryside. Near the entrance of Mill Creek Cabins, The Water Villa is shielded by a large privacy fence. A sliding door opens up to reveal a pathway to the two-story cabin. The main floor features a king bed, balcony, small seating area, and fireplace. Reclaimed barn wood walls and large windows create a warm interior highlighting the outdoors.

Rustic River on Main

Beams and barn boards give this two bedroom cottage a rustic style all it's own. The European influence found throughout the home, helps create an atmosphere of tranquility. Throw some steaks on the grill and enjoy a glass of wine in your private courtyard. The year round hot tub is a great way to unwind at the end of your day with access to the courtyard straight from the master bedroom. Pets are welcome with an additional fee.

River Valley Cabin

Very private on-the-grid cabin overlooking the Kickapoo River. Kitchen & bath, dining room, one bedroom and futon in the large living room. TV and internet, laundry and cooking. Bring your own phone.
