Pod One - The Crofter's Snug - NC500 + sea views!

At only five miles from the popular John o Groats signpost, Jo and Karina would love to welcome you at one of three cozy self-catering glamping pods at The Crofter's Snug - lots of local area info on our website. Located at the top of Scotland you'll enjoy one of the best views in the area - even the locals are envious! One mile off the popular NC500 tourist route, our two pods and a Shepherd's Hut offer peace and quiet in an idyllic location with some amazing sunrises, sunsets and starry skies.

The Highland Haven, converted barn, John O'Groats

The Highland Haven is perfect for those travelling the NC500 or visiting Orkney in a group. Our two rooms have traditional box beds and can sleep up to 10 (4 in one room, 6 in the other), each with Ensuite and an extra wet room. There is a large open plan kitchen, dining, lounging area surrounding a wood burner. We have secure parking, laundry facilities, free WIFI and offer fresh scones on arrival (pm for details). A fully equipped kitchen gives you everything you need for your stay whether eating in or going out for a takeaway. Taigh Neonach is Gaelic for odd cottage which suits its slightly unconventional character. A fantastic base to explore the North of Scotland, whether you are touring the NC500, relaxing in the quiet wilderness of Caithness, doing a spot of fishing, shooting, walking, cycling... the choices are endless like the views!

Whilst superbly modernised throughout, Torran cottage retains its original features, including wonderful flagstone flooring in the main living room, deep-silled windows set into thick stone walls, and a large wood burner for cosy evenings. The views from the cottage and gardens are unbelievable. Panoramic vistas look east to Morven and the Scarabens, south to Ben Klibreck and west to distant views of Ben Loyal and Ben Hope. The gardens are spacious, a delight!

Apt 2 is in a quiet central location in Kirkwall with it's own garden, traditional stone wall feature and wood burning stove. This is a perfect home to come back to after a busy day sight seeing. It has all amenities on it's doorstep, walking distance to all shops, pubs, restaurants and the Cathedral. Parking nearby. Bedroom 1 can be either superking or twin bed and maisonette bedroom upstairs is a king bed.

Feawell Self Catering Cottage, Stromness, Orkney

Just 1.5miles from Stromness, Feawell is a semi detached cottage sleeping three, in an idyllic location overlooking Orphir Hills and Scapa Flow. We have a large vegetable garden and produce is available to our guests free of charge when in season. Shellfish are also available from our creel boat at a small price. We have a garden and patio area for our guests use and outbuildings suitable for bikes, canoes etc.
