Elsie's View: Cozy Vintage/Modern Cabin

We are nestled in the woods within a stone's throw of the stunning White Salmon River. Our cabin dates to the 1920s (one of the oldest in the area but we recently updated it). 4 people max. We are best for 1 or 2 adult couples (one queen and one full size bed are available). A couple with one or two kids works okay too. What doesn’t work great are 4 adults who sleep separately since that means using the pull out couches downstairs. Well-behaved dogs okay with advance notice.

Sunshine Cottage/Tiny Home Private Outdoor Shower

Nourish your soul by staying in your own private tiny cottage in the woods. It’s nested in beautiful Klickitat County 11 mi. from Goldendale. This is an unusual experience for most people because it’s off grid. We provide a power station for lights and charging electronics. Propane for INDOOR HEATER, cooking stove , and fire pit. We love dogs! Please be sure to add them when booking so I can have water bowl filled upon their arrival. Please never leave dog unattended.

You are invited to stay in a Klickitat County landmark, listed on both the state and federal registers of historic places. The Red House built for the ‘Horse King of the Northwest’ Charles Newell and his wife Mary in 1890, is now a distinctive vacation rental. The Red House’s three stories are furnished with art, antique/vintage finds, colored glass windows, original ornamental trim, fresh linens and comfortable beds.
