This rustic 2-bedroom cabin is conveniently located on large private pond just outside the city limits of Mt. Vernon with shopping, dining, brewery and entertainment. We are pet friendly (additional $50 per stay, max 2 pets) with all the modern convenience, fully stocked kitchen, 50" flat screen smart TV, washer/dryer and fast internet. Outdoor fireplace/grill is the perfect hangout just steps from deck overlooking the large pond. 4-person paddle boat is there for use during your stay.

Bent Canoe Farm Guest House

This is a late 1800s farm house on my family farm. It has been fully remodeled and infrastructure updated but retains the simple architecture of the period farm house. Located one mile East of Gambier (Kenyon College), it's site overlooks the Kokosing River and is a short walk to the Kokosing Gap Bike Trail. Includes a fully furnished kitchen, three bedrooms and two baths. The wrap around porch overlooks the river and surrounding pasture. Enjoy the secluded, quiet, pastoral setting.

Babble Brook Lodge and Private Pond

The Babble Brook Lodge is a large log home on 11 acres with a stocked pond only minutes from Mohican State Park. The lodge features a large covered porch overlooking the pond, a huge great room with a massive stone fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen, 6 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, loft sitting area, laundry room, satellite TV, high speed internet and air conditioning. A two car garage allows renters to park out of the weather.

A short distance to Kenyon college, Honey Run waterfalls, hunting, fishing, Apple Valley Lake, Kokosing bike trail and Ohio Amish country. You won't run out of things to do. Our log home was built in 2008 by the Amish, with vaulted ceilings and a loft, outdoor decks, and a large front porch. We have many outdoor sitting areas, outdoor fireplace, and koi pond. Although we keep our home very clean we have pets, 2 dogs and several outdoor only cats. Friendly pets are welcome. We are welcoming to all travelers and enjoy opening our home to you.
