Charming Hillside Country Home

This beautiful mid-century house was designed and built by my father. My husband’s parents, Amy and Bob, bought it from my parents’ estate and renovated it. It is filled with light, books and original art. Being inside feels like being outside. It is furnished much as it was when my in-laws moved out, with many of Amy’s paintings. It is not a new or fancy house, but it is authentic and quite a splendid example of mid-century architecture! I hope that you love it as much as I love to share it!

The main floor features a spacious living room with a 55" Roku TV, a dining area with seating for six, a fully equipped kitchen, 2 queen bedrooms with premium bedding, and a full bathroom. Downstairs, the finished basement offers a king bedroom, a second full bathroom, a large rec room with 55" TV, a futon, a game area with table and chairs, a laundry room, and a dedicated work space.

Experience the laid back, friendly lifestyle of Thorntown, IN while having access to Indianapolis and Lafayette! Take a walk or bike the ten-mile heritage trail. Walk to Stookey’s for drinks and food! More restaurants and bars are a ten minute drive. Sugar Creek Art Gallery next door. Downtown Indy, Children’s Museum, and Indpls Motor Speedway are each 35-40 minutes. Purdue University is 28 miles. A percentage of reservation fees are donated toward housing for refugees, evacuees, and homeless.

I maintain a natural lawn and yard without using harsh pesticides/herbicides, which means the grass isn't always weed-free, but is safe for pets and children.

This home is 3 blocks from Ross Ade Stadium in the beautiful Hills and Dales Neighborhood. It's a ranch on a finished basement that has been well loved over the years with kitchen and bathrooms recently updated. There is a fenced-in backyard with a patio and grill for cookouts.
