Julia's Cottage is a charming, welcoming little home, where you will be inclined to kick back and just soak in the beauty surrounding you. Take it easy at this newly renovated, tranquil getaway on Lake Hawkins. We’re sharing our lakefront home so others may enjoy the nice, clear water for swimming, fishing, boating, skiing, kayaking; you name it! Fish off our boat dock, swim in our sandy shore area, float around, or borrow our kayaks. There are nearby public boat ramps, a public sandy beach area, camp ground, & RV park, too. There are also restaurants right on the lake as well as nearby. *More nights booked = cheaper nightly rate.

Enjoy a short drive to the Mineola Nature Preserve with paved walking trails, playground and covered pavilion. We are close to several beautiful lakes, historic downtown Mineola and Lindale (home of Miranda Lambert) or just stay home and enjoy front porch sitting to appreciate the stars and trees. We are about a 40 minute drive to Canton (home of the First Monday Trade Days) and about 6 miles from the Amtrak station in Mineola. Continental breakfast available upon request (for additional fee).

A cottage tucked into an abundance of trees, wrap around porch, flagstone firepit area, patio lights strung across the yard, antique mantle with gas fire, crystal chandelier, beadboard from an 1800's farmhouse, a tub big enough for two, the lushest bedding, classical music plays, sweets served. Deep sigh.
