The original Waterford Inn has been a hotel, general store, tavern, restaurant, housed a post office, and was rumored to be a brothel at one time (unverified). Built around 1833 and filled with historical charm, the original Waterford Inn is spacious with a super cozy vibe. Original exposed brick walls add warmth and character, tall ceilings & large windows give an open, airy feeling and let the sun shine in! Comfy new beds insure a great night's sleep. The Blue Herron is a clean, quaint, little cottage near Lake Michigan. A welcoming big backyard with a hot tub** and fire pit. A wonderful back deck for dinners or coffee in the morning. Plenty of parking and a short walk to the beach. The house is bright and sunny in a quiet beach community.
