Karatta Cottage is part of a seaside home built in 1858 for the Jones family to escape the inland heat of the dry Limestone Coast summer. A romantic getaway across from the sparkling waters of Karatta Beach and overlooking Lake Butler Marina, Karatta Cottage is the perfect location for a couples’ getaway. It is full of historic seaside charm and is just as good for snuggling up on a grey rainy day in front of the fire with a good book and glass of wine as it is to enjoy in the summer months.

Lighthouse Keepers' Cottage (1 bedroom)

A dose of fresh sea air is just what you need tranquil sea views quite literally beckoning you from the front door step, a more fitting place to stay on the Limestone Coast cannot be found. Built in 1933 to house the intrepid lightkeepers of the Cape Jaffa Lighthouse. It is just a 7mins walk to the jetty, seafood market, hotel, supermarket and cafes. Best of all you can return home to your beautiful seaside retreat to unwind- just choose a nook and settle in with a book and a glass of wine!

Tawarri Studio - river bushland retreat

The Tawarri Studio is a beautiful lime stone studio apartment. It has one spacious living area with a lofty vaulted ceiling with a luxury bathroom attached. The Studio is well appointed with aircon, kitchenette, TV, and is nestled on an acre of bushland garden that it shares with the main house. It’s a stone's throw from the Glenelg river, the Lower Glenelg National Park, And the pristine beaches of Discovery Bay. Note - we are currently unable to provide linen for our guests. Apologies.

Enjoy beautiful waterfront views right from your living areas! A short stroll and you will be dipping your toes in the ocean. Spectacular sunsets enjoyed after a day on the beach or touring local wineries. Throw in your bikes, there is a fantastic bike track directly opposite the house. Ride beside the beach or enjoy a short walk into town to visit coffee shops, the jetty or hotels. Pack the cricket set, footy or a frisbee and enjoy the large grassed area directly opposite the house.

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful and comfortable home. Drive your car onto the white sand, excellent swimming beach safe environment surrounded by reefs and a beach pontoon to play. Peruse rock pools, surf fishing or 4x4 driving. Access to three different beaches, beach launch your boat or drive approximately 10 minute to the nearest boat ramp. Very spacious beach home to fit up to 6-8 people, enjoy time on the balcony, or let the kids play in the secure back yard.

Pelican Point is a peaceful beach town 25 minutes from Mount Gambier. Our secluded little town is the perfect place to get away from it all. We love our little beach shack and hope you will too. With the beach at your doorstep it's impossible not to feel relaxed as soon as you arrive. Main shopping is at Mount Gambier, but Carpenters Rocks general store is 2 minutes away. For those travelling with your fur families, we are happy to welcome house trained pets.

Please note property is surrounded by natural vegetation and there is no clear yard or fencing for pets to be left outside unattended.

River 2C, Scenic views & close to facilities

River 2C is a beautifully presented 3 bedroom, home with an amazing outlook over the estuary & Glenelg River. Its excellent location makes the newly renovated pub, kiosk and river less than a 5min walk from the house. The stunning enclosed gazebo area has amazing river views and makes for an ideal place to cook a BBQ dinner and watch the sunset over the estuary, protected from the elements and any pesky bugs .
