Cozy tree-top getaway

Located against the dramatic backdrop of the Wolkberg Mountains, our rustic and cozy wooden treehouse cabin is the perfect secluded spot in nature. Just 15km out of Haenertsberg, and directly on the R528, it is perfect for a weekend of relaxation or adventuring on the mountain. Fall asleep to the sounds of the Groot Letaba river and wake up to bird calls from our resident Green Turaco. The diverse local fauna attracts significant bird life - making the panoramic view perfect for bird watching.

Hill Top Cabin

Enjoy privacy in our self-catering cabin at Hill Top Villa. The 43 square meter cabin has a beautiful view of the valley and bush. There is a kitchenette and lounge area with a 50-inch TV, a comfortable couch and limited DSTV. There are two basins and a shower in the bathroom. A braai place with utensils is available. The king-size bed can be set up as two single beds on prior request. Guests in the Cabin may make of the pool on the upper level of the property, it is not located at the Cabin.

The Watermill Cabin

Nestled among ancient pines, the 50-year-old cabin stands on the banks of the Broederstroom River, overlooking a magical waterfall. A 2km gravel road drive from Haenertsburg. ( Accessible to most cars, not sports cars) will bring you to the charming cabin. A double story with the bedroom on the first floor ( mind the steps) and the fully self-catering living space and bathroom, downstairs. A few feet from the cabin, you will have your own private deck with braai facilities. Enjoy!

Hidden in amongst the mango and citrus farms next to the Blyde River it is a true hidden gem, our two cabins offer accommodation for a stop over on your trip, a family holiday, a romantic getaway or a base to explore the area. The setting next to the river and surrounded by nature offers a wholesome, relaxing experience. It is any birder and bird photographers dream location with four different biomes within easy reach. We are a Eco lodge, striving to leave a minimal impact on Nature. Operating on Solar Energy. Forget your worries in this spacious and serene space. Make some memories whether you are taking a walk at the river or enjoying our scenic Panorama route. We cater for Nature lovers young and old at Bikers Rest. Guided tours, Outrides and Picnic's can be arranged. We are an ECO LODGE completely reliant on Solar power. Be sure to bring along your mountain bike for exploring.

My Side of the Mountain.

Tucked away in lush indigenous woodland, a delightful and roomy cottage is located in the charming village of Kampersrus, situated on the eastern slopes of the stunning Blyde River Canyon. "My Side of the Mountain" is an ideal getaway for nature lovers, as mongoose, bushbabies, and antelope frequently wander through the area. A diverse array of birds also inhabits the surroundings, their constant songs creating a beautiful backdrop to the natural environment.

Log Cabin

Forest Bird Lodge nestles in an evergreen forest. It gives a feeling of anticipation for fairies and other woodland creatures to welcome you. The forest gives complete privacy where visitors can feel at one with nature. Bird parties visit and monkeys forage in the trees. It is a peaceful place. The Log Cabin has crockery, cutlery, pots, linen, and towels. There are short walks along the mountain stream with picturesque waterfalls.
