Wolvekloof Karoo at Modderfontein offers a secluded farm stay in the heart of the Karoo, featuring elegant game farm accommodation and serene remoteness. Located 50km north east of Graaff Reinet on the Erasmus kloof road. The farm invites exploration, with MTB trails, hiking and trail running routes winding through the vast terrain. Our cottage boasts a typical Karoo style open-plan kitchen, Dover stove, living room, en-suite bathroom with bath and shower, main bedroom with double bed, spare room with two single beds. Entertainment patio overlooking the courtyard and garden.

Bethesda Tower B&B

A fairy-tale tower, ideal for a romantic couple or adventurous family. The unit is a duplex. The top floor's huge round bed has 360°views, and on the middle floor are twin beds / lounge. The bathroom is on the ground floor down external spiralling stairs. A unique experience! Our rate includes a delicious breakfast, which is served from our on-site Tower Café. Dinner is available on request, at the time of booking.

Playwright's House, Nieu-Bethesda

This unpretentious, rustic and secluded Karoo home is where internationally acclaimed playwright and writer Athol Fugard wrote between 1990 and 2017. It's on the peaceful northeastern corner of our quaint village. Crystal-clear Karoo air, intense night skies, crackling winter fires, tranquillity. The cottage draws travellers, explorers, friends & families seeking connection; and it's an inspiring creative space.

This large family room has a double bed and two single beds, therefore comfortably sleeping 4. It has air-conditioning, a microwave and a bar fridge. There is free 10 mbps wi-fi. It is also immediately adjacent to a large sparkling swimming pool - it is therefore not suitable for persons who are not water-smart. It has a private entrance and safe parking. Two large friendly dogs may be in attendance.
