Modern Farmhouse near Shenandoah Nat'l Park + Lake

Enjoy our secluded 1850s solid brick farmhouse. Completely renovated with modern conveniences, including central AC & super fast, Starlink internet. 5 miles from Shenandoah National Park, Luray Caverns. A short walk to Lake Arrowhead. We also own the downtown cafe, Broad Porch Coffee, so are local and can help if you ever need anything. We are family friendly and love dogs, no pet fee. Only a 15 min drive to I-81 to conveniently access all the Shenandoah Valley has to offer

John Pope Cabin Browntown Va. We now have Starlink

Our cabin, located in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains is uniquely positioned overlooking a large open field where hawks hunt and bears leisurely stroll. Our neighbors have horses that peer over the fence (nosy) pet them but don’t feed them, please. Our cabin was built in 1865 by a Confederate soldier returning from the Civil War. Eleven children were born and raised in John Pope Cabin. Our cabin is rustic. An inviting front porch with swing is waiting for you @walnuthillcabin

The Cottage

Need some time to refresh? Spending time in the foothills of the Skyline Drive at our cozy cottage may be for you. Well behaved dogs are welcome but not on furniture. The driveway is long and home is very secluded. Winter access will be subject to weather conditions. Driveway does not get plowed and gets rutty during rainy periods. Cell service is spotty on Browntown road. The cottage has a landline and wifi. Use your wifi calling feature for cell phone use. More info under photos.

Only 90 miles from Washington, D.C. Just 5 miles from Downtown Luray, Luray Caverns, and local conveniences. Only 13 miles from the Thornton Gap entrance to Shenandoah National Park. Enjoy breathtaking mountain and river views right from the deck and screened in porch. Listen to the sound of the river which soothes the soul and nourishes the spirit. We do allow well behaved dogs for an additional $50 fee per stay. Limit of two. Sorry no cats, penalty is $200.
